When is everyone switching to summer tires?

With the warm weather in DC area today I'm tempted to switch back to summer tires soon, but looking at the weather forecast there will be a few days with lows in the 30s. When is everyone switching back?

I've always been told when the low temps for the week begin to be ~45 degrees F is when you should switch to and back for tires.

I don't run winter tires. Instead I have all-season tires to get me through the colder months. I've been fortunate enough to not have to drive on snow days. Depending on how good the roads in your area are I usually don't rush putting on low profile summer wheels/tires. I give it a couple of weeks after the last 45 degree day and time for the paving companies to patch up any huge potholes. Around here, April is good.

I just put mine on this weekend. It may be too early but idgaf, sick of winter and hoping this helps influence the spring transition to be a little quicker.

This thread is too timely as I was just thinking this thought all weekend and decided that this week, time permitting, I will put them on since I can keep her in the garage on the last cold days if needed.

No joke. Just saw an aerial view of 295 on the local news last night and it's like an artillery range for miles.

The irony is that most of us wait for the potholes to be filled and don't use temperature as the guideline.

Never took them off. You only have to be careful with extreme summer performance tires which can crack if exposed to sub freezing temperatures. And of course your summer tires are not gonna do anything for you when there is snow outside. That's when the minivan comes out.
