Update: Resolved thank you Halim and Dzenan

When i flash my car im getting an internal error like about a minute into the flash process. It doesnt even reach a percent it just says obd unlock and flash of stage 2 in progress please wait and after about less then a minute it says internal error.. The obd agent says unable to start diagnostics session? I dont have any piggybacks installed all i have is a awron gauge but i shut it down during the process. Has anyone seen this error? Ive sent a support ticket to protunning freaks but figured someone here might have an idea? I dont know if they respond on weekends. The battery is fully charged door is closed and the fuel gauge shows half tank.. The only things is i dont have a charger connected to the battery but i doubt thats the problem? I was excited to get this tune installed but now its getting annoying. All antivirus are turned off also.

[B]UPDATE[B]: The issue was resolved it was a coding issue, I had used one of those coding apps from the app store to code my mirrors etc and it screwed up some of the codes.. All the guys at bootmod3 especially Dzenan and Halim were very helpful trying to get this issue resolved quickly. It would of been resolved sooner but when Dzenan tried to remote into my computer my signal kept dropping so we had to do it another day and my schedule is rough. Anyway thank you to everyone that tried to help, now i cant wait to use the tune

Also a big Thanks to F80paul for the tune and caring to see if i got it resolved!!!

Open a ticket with PTF. Their customer support is pretty solid

It's the weekend, they are off.

Is your agent up to date and what are you using to flash? Windows, Mac, or Obd agent device?

yes i think so just downloaded it today its version 0.10.058 . Im using a pc and my laptop doesnt have an Ethernet port so im using an adapter but my car is communicating with the bm3 program it recognized the vin number.

Try turning firewall(s) off and see what happens. I had something similar.

You should join the bootmod3 enthusiasts facebook group. That comes up when something else is connected to the car blocking. My friend had an issue with his Awron gauge too and he got Awron to update the software on it as it caused issues for him in service at BMW as well.

Yea seems to be the issue I have an awron gauge and I was just discussing this with Justin and he told me that might be the issue.. Hopefully the usb is accessible I don't know where to look for it.. After you update it it's fine after that?

100% is the awron gauge, unplug it and it will work!

I'll be in Queens tomorrow and swinging by Captree with some friends in the AM.

I have a relatively new awron gauge and have no issues with bm3. if it is an update issue, you should have no problem after. pull the whole vent and you can get to the USB cable.

My Awron goes into Service Mode on the screen when using BM3.Had problems using Safari to log in, was told to use Google Chrome and log in with Google, havnt had any more probs.

I wish, i have to update it bc people are having issues getting serviced at bmw with it also. I just have to find where my installer put the usb.. Thank man

Yea im not sure how old mine is i bought it from a forum member few months ago. Mine needs to be updated for sure bc it supposed to go into service mode and it doesnt. Just a pain now to find the usb in the dash.. Im hearing its not by the vent but under the glove box. Also not sure how to even update it? Found the file online but no instructions.

Yea thats what im hearing also, mine doesnt go into service mode at least it doesnt pop up on screen. I have to find that usb so i can update it and you can only update it with windows xp or 7 lol luckily my wife has an old laptop with windows 7. Thats what i was using google chrome its the awron gauge for sure, i shut it off but it still didnt work..

Does that mean we can't run BM3 with the car coded? Or do you just need to re-code things after BM3 has been installed?

My car and many have been coded prior or post no issues.
He mentioned there was a coding issue particularly to his car when he coded his mirrors.
