PSA: Rear axle seals

Thanks to this forum, I saw a few posts about people finding leaking axle seals during their last scheduled maintenance. My warranty expires in April and I am the 2nd owner so no maintenance. I decided to take the car into the dealer and pay for a full PPI type inspection just in case there was anything that could be warrantied.

Most posts I saw said it seemed to be only on 15's. Mine's a 16 and both rear axle seals were found to be leaking. Car's in the shop now getting them replaced. I typically do all maintenance myself but this was a little outside my realm.

$140 inspection saved me $1200 outside of warranty.

TL;DR: It's worth getting a full inspection done before warranty expires.
