Yep on the GTR we could use the coolant temp gauge to cycle ethanol content as an actual digital number - but we also had a very comprehensive set of data gauges in the infotainment to play with - the f80 doesn't

On the f80 the better solution will be the zeitronix display left in glove box like I had setup in my evo as there is no digital gauge to hijack

Hello mate, a quick update, my car is currently having the Ecutek software fitted as you know. I have asked regarding Flex fuel, all going well it will be available later this year for our motors.

Your lack of imagination is part of the reason the other tuning options lack GTR like features that EcuTek has.

Best not to speculate and spread false information.

How it's implemented in the back end is up to the tuners' imagination, not the customers'

Would be cool to hijack the screen/buttons on the M Electronic steering wheel to display some of the the RaceRom features.

Would be even cooler if CaryTheLabelGuy and F80Paul are free agents.

Ok I will bite..

Did you go with a canned tune or custom, most of the below is assuming this is a canned tune and representative of what others will get with a purchase of this product
  • What’s the driveability like in the different modes, have they been changed in anyway ie: Throttle curves, torque/boost targeting
  • What is the boost curve like, or provide plots
  • What is the target AF, or provide AF plots
  • Is the data logging as per videos for end users
  • Is there any pre-canned changes the user can invoke: Burbles, Boost reduction or Dynamic Map Switching ie: RaceRom features
  • Any logs of manifold temperatures
  • Any dyno graphs to compare the changes under the curve to stock (ie of your car and not what is on the vids)
  • What is the process to relock the ecu
  • Can't remember if your DCT or MT. If MT is the shift lag been addressed
  • General thoughts

Thanks mate. There lies my problem, as there are no local ecutek tuners I really trust. Most of my previous tuning of my cars was by me on Haltechs and Vipecs

Looking forward to your thoughts though !!

Looks like Litchfield have finalized their ecutek maps and can offer a remote tune

Not sure if that includes after sales map tweaking, would need to contact them

Litchfield know their way around the ecutek platform, one of their top tier tuners

I don't think it'll make a diff, there is enough scaling within the ecu to correct for an additional cat in the exhaust - or on the flip side a higher flow exhaust

I think FSociety posted in another thread some of the beta users where experiencing DTMAL issues. Not sure if true nor how widespread.
