Side protection

I apprciate I will get shot down for this but anybody fitted or looking at fitting a form of mud flap front only?
more of a small plastic trim than a OEM flap. Tommy L Garage has them on his (you tube).
Sorry and ready for the abuse.......

I fitted OEM regular 5 series mud flaps to the M5 and they make a huge difference, appreciate my car is black so they blend in but BMW said they wouldnt fit but they did, it maybe the same for the M4 and 4 Series mud flaps

Tommy is a forum member.

There's another thread on his mud flaps here: Mud Flaps for the F8x https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1540214

IMO Tommy's blend in better since his follow the body line at the top rather than have a rounded piece sticking out like that eBay one. That being said, this is easy material to cut so you can always trim those to match if you wanted.

Honestly guys dead easy to make yourself... as long as you have a dremel or some other cutting tool.
Cheap sheet of carbon from ebay no more than 1mm think and the rivers from bmw (20p)

Make a cardboard template then cut away!!!!!

I purchased these:

https://automotivepassion.net/produc...e-arch-guards/

I'll probably get a lot of stick for spending 50 quid on a pair of carbon arch guards, but they go really well with my side skirts and honestly they've made a huge difference. I drive down South every weekend, and after my first two weeks my rear arches were destroyed with road rash, after installing these they've not gotten any worse; I just wish I brought them from the get go.

These work well on the rear wheel arches as well. Stuck on with some double sided tape.

Not sure why the top two photos are 90 degrees out! As suggested, it’s easy to make your own with some carbon sheet from eBay for the front, as per bottom photo.

Only the front, as I have a 3 piece diffuser so that protects the back, however I may get some for the rear after I fit spacers.
