is it because of the 'gloomy' colors? it seems like this car would look way better if it was a sunny day+ better camera.
decent quality camera + silver car + bad weather (gloomy day)= bad picture. |

You know what I feel it's missing. The vents on each side of the hood dom.

Silverstone is a fine color that shows off the lines well and has a different character depending on light conditions. Many manufactures use silver when presenting their cars at auto shows for that very reason. German car manufactures are known for over engineering and clean designs. To my eye, the F82 is a bit over designed compared to the F80 and looks like it is starting to pick up Japanese design cues. Over designed cars tend not to age well. Car enthusiasts complain about Porsche's lack of creative design through the decades, but Porsche understands the importance of the general public identifying a Porsche when they see one, whether it be vintage or new.

FIRST OFF: VENTLESS HOOD is the reason it looks off...
Also, it's always like this with the new generations: Some shots from some angles just look off and some shots from others angles look amazing. For some reason, it kind of looks cheaper than the E92 this time. I dunno, I still have my doubts about the F8X series. We'll see when they start rolling them out and when we see them in the streets. |

First thing I noticed as well. Is it the color that makes this stand out? I was always a fan of SSII and loved it on my M6 but definitely not feeling it on this one! |

I like this car in some pics and hate it in others. In these pics, it's nothing but hate. I think the color is a big part of the problem, but it just looks so generic and boring here. Nothing about it makes me go "wow". Actually an F30 M-Sport looks better to me than the car in these pics. I'm hoping it's a combination of bad lighting, bad paint color and bad photos in general.

the only thing i love about the new M's is the front bumper and interior, other than that.. I'm digging the e92 more. Something is telling me that i should get a z07 rather than an m4 in the future, but who knows
