BMW F80 M3 Spotted in More Colors - Silverstone and Black

COMMENTS

We recently showed you an advanced F80 M3 prototype in what looked like Singapore Gray Metallic (reposted below). Now see the latest prototypes in black and Silverstone.

Once again, we're treated to some great looks the F80 M3's massive fenders. The F80 M3 shares virtually the same styling as the M4 except for the more prominently flared fenders and a different trunk design (no CSL style curve). The two share the same front front fascia and headlights, rear bumpers, sideskirts, hood bump, exhaust design, double-bubble carbon fiber roof and wheels. They will also share the same powerplant and drivetrain.

Ordering for the M3/M4 will be available beginning in January-February and production begins in the March-May time frame. Deliveries will begin by early Summer.

We'll have some initial tech specs to discuss with you in a couple of weeks, so be sure to follow our F80 M3 coverage at: http://www.bimmerpost.com/m3/f80m3/

And you can catch our M3/M4 info and photos compilation at: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=602770

Wow....the rear on the sedan looks so freakin wide! I must say that I like the wheels on the black F80. Not a big fan of black wheels but that design not painted black but a normal silver finish would look good.

That's beautiful! Can't wait to see one in yellow. Hopefully it will be something like dakar yellow.

The car looks good but I was hoping for a clean silver for the M3 this time but if Silverstone is in palette that's probably not going to happen. I also wished for a lighter grey than even space grey but that might also be dead given the mid-dark grey Singapore. Oh well, let's see how that Yas Marina blue look in real life. Is it maybe close to the Protonic blue of the i8?

Looks great. Very wide. Definitely crushes the coupe in the aesthetics department. No contest.

Those who say otherwise have horrible taste or are in need of an eye exam.

I'm not a big fan of black or silverstone...singapore grey looks best between these three. I can't wait to see other color options.

if you look closely at them , they may both just be oranges (reference to paint)

Meh, I see what you're going for here, but I don't think the M3 and M4 are different enough to be "apples and oranges."

And so, picking up where the pointless E90 M3 vs E92 M3 debate leaves off, let the pointless M3 vs M4 aesthetics debate begin!

Still waiting for the bright colored test cars. Either red, blue or orange.

As a mineral grey and sparkling graphite owner (my brother has a Singapore grey M5), that is definitely Mineral grey.

Are we sure that isn't glacier silver, or hell, Moonstone on the silver car?

The back side door drives me nuts. On my old E90 M3 the back edge of the door followed the curve of the wheel well on the new body style its just a straight line does not flow well.

It's nice to see more and more of the M3 and M4 being exposed. I can't wait to hear more on the technical specs (whether it will be 2 or 3 turbos, etc.) and to see some interior shots.
