So true. I prefer "older" body styles over the new. I now have to make my 5 year dream of owning an E92 a reality. Very affordable price for a well maintained 2010/11 E92.

I love the E90 M3, but the new M3 is certainly better in nearly every way in my opinion. They've evolved it beautifully...

Looking forward to the MPG figures as well. Better enough to be somewhat efficient and kill the gas guzzler tax and it'll be a serious contended for my next car after they begin to pop up as CPO's.

I wonder how the 0-60 times will be in real life? Most E92's with DCT I have always seen well below 4.5 which I assume is because BMW is conservative in its numbers. I wonder if it will be the same with the M4

It really has.

Equally as much as the rear end has aged terribly.

Jason, great job with those side by side picture comparos!!!!!! I never realized how outdated my M looked until those shots. The new one is so much meaner looking. And the stats are soooooo impressive

I am not sure but I would still love to go for the E9x M3 cause of that S65 engine...

all in all, the F80 is a huge improvement over the E90 for the front end, but i prefer the E90's rear end.......but the F80 pushes the M3 into a whole new stratosphere of performance....

Where have you been in the last 10 years? There's no such a thing as japanese/korean looking cars anymore. I think Hyundai/kia's design center is in Germany and headed by a German design chief.

It's like saying the E60 looks too much like a Honda Accord sedan. Hahaha

So! That's largely irrelevant considering the interiors - fore of the back seats - are the same anyway. As for the wheels, there is a photo of the E90 with the upgraded 19's (..the side view comparison), so again....you're off base.

One of the photos the E90 M3 is wearing 18's, the other they picked the bland grey interior to compare it to the black F80?

The shots are not even the same, studio shots which are exaggerating the lines on the F80 and real life shots for the E90.
Holy cow, seriously?

Seriously.

I can only imagine how long it takes to go through 1,000's of photos and select ones that are this close, and this guy is crapping on you?

Sheesh.

Nice job Jason.

This place is a loony bin. As a sane member, thanks for the pics. Crazy to see how much the F80 dates the E90.

Yeah, you're suspect, you own an E90 M3. But wait, shouldn't that...

This comp is biased ….. lol

Its a comparison for arguments to stem and none of the variables are really constant. Good if you have never seen the cars before, bad if you have, and are forced to honestly compare these old e90 photos with BMW USA .pdf website photos...

The F80 front looks too busy, like it's trying too hard to look sporty, I mean even Lambos/Ferraris bumper covers dont look this aggressive.

+1 and it's not even close.

I thought the E90 was a stunner before but side by side the M4 makes it look very dated (and I guess it should).

It's all about finding and posting photos of the cars taken from the same angles. In certain situations the wheels might be different sizes, photos flipped, different lighting etc. People need to chill. This is a good comparison and thanks to Jason for putting this together. The E90 looks good but dated in comparison; F80 wins in the looks department regardless of whether the wheels are 18s or 19s and regardless if either car is shown as a mirror image. Next people will be crying foul because the old car isn't also in Yas Marina Blue.
