How much power should my F80 M3 really make?

Hey guys,
I recently acquired a 2015 BMW F80 M3 which has the following mods:
  • Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust with catless downpipes
  • Eventuri Carbon Fibre intakes
  • Pure Stage 2 (non-plus) turbos
  • CSF Charge Coolers
  • CSF Intake coolers
  • BP Engineering Titanium charge pipes
  • NGK Racing Plugs
  • Mosselman Thermostat
  • Mosselman Crank Hub fix

Was planning on doing a conservative 95 ron tune or a 98 RON map at the most due to the bad fuel conditions here!
Can someone tell me what (Power/torque) figures can I realistically expect on these 95/98 RON maps respectively?

Hard to say because many other factors are critical as well. Things such as the health of the motor, existence of boost leaks, and most important the tune (whether OTS or custom) that will be utilized all play a huge factor.

Upgraded turbos on low boost (22-25 psi) using quality 93 octane pump gas should see at least 600 whp would be my rule of thumb.

I picked up the car with only 4,300 kms on the odo.The car has been primarily driven in rush hour traffic and only been tracked once.So I'm assuming the health of the motor shouldn't be an issue. What I was super curious about was would the Akrapovic downpipes hold the car from making its maximum power? As they are ~ 2.75 inches wide compared to 3+ inches on a VRSF/Evolution Race downpipe. Therefore causing a (0.25*2=0.5)inch difference as a whole

I think you'll be fine but if you're gonna upgrade @performanceeurowerks sells 3.5" downpipes for the S55 motor.

Tell them tomlong sent you. 😎

Attached is my dyno chart showing comparison of 3 datasets, all with stock motor, stock turbos, and stock fueling.
- Stock Tune (red and green lines) 421HP / 389TQ
- BM3 GTS Tune (orange and purple lines) 440HP / 435TQ
- BM3 Stage2 93 octane, 10% TQ reduced for a hub fix (blue and gray lines) 475HP / 450TQ

My car was in for a hub fix and I forgot that I had TQ reduction dialed into my Stage2 tune when we did the dyno pulls (DOH!). I estimate the real Stage2 output at 495HP and 485TQ. Testing was done at Kies Motorsports on their Dynapack (bolt-on wheel pods, real WHP).

Mods on Dyno day: MST Intakes, VTT CPs, Wagner TMIC, ER J-pipe, Stock Plugs, ER Hi-Flow Cats, AA Full 3.5 Exhaust, 93octane Pump Gas, no adders, no meth.

Adding Pure/VTT Turbos would increase by an estimated 75-100HP, and with HF+/GC+ by an estimated 100-130HP. This is with 93AKI premium pump gas.

We see consistent 498whp/520wtq in humid ass south FL in July and August. I'd say you're stronger than you think.

teeess there you have it... ALCOBENDAS had the precise number for the + turbos you have. landonvan backed it up 20HP less with non+ turbos. tomlong estimate was right.

nbennettksu thanks for the good input. I'll take 500/520 for bragging. Need to get back to Kies and re-run those Dyno pulls with my stock airboxes, and to fine tune Paul's E80 kill map.

Still good to help Original Poster know what numbers to expect. The Plus add a little more to high RPM pulls. If shifting 6200 or under the gain of + is only a little over non+.

Around 620 whp now, get port injection and methanol injection.
