The cargo ship can send around 6000 cars at a time.
Found mine on the Tortuga, ETA to Halifax is Oct 17th. 84119. I can't wait.

You know what's weird? Some of the tracking is showing the car being loaded after the boat had already taken off.

Take bmxcamel for example. His tracking shows that his car was loaded onto the ship Oct 5th, yet the ship departed Oct 1st?!? Dafuq? Magic?

Yeah I imagine these companies and systems aren't exactly state of the art. I'd trust marinetraffic.com any day over WW's tracking page.

You know, I think this will be the last time I order a car. The wait is just too long. I ordered on July 9th. Will probably get it by early November.

Next time, I will just look for dealer inventory and buy one that's sitting on a lot.

According to bimmer.work, my car was finished today (a day earlier than the last estimate). Time to start stalking the carriers...

According to the VIN lookups, my car completed production on 9/17. It wasn't loaded onto a ship until 10/1 and I couldn't start tracking it until 10/4.

Ok, that makes sense. East coast ships are once a week. I think west coast is once every two weeks. So your car must've just missed the cutoff when it arrived at port.

Do week numbers represent the week the vehicle starts production or ends production? My build started showing "In Production" on Monday of this week with an estimated completion date of Oct 15th. Am I week 40 or 41?

Go to either Bimmer.work or bmwvin.com. Type in the last 7 digits of your VIN.

Ouch. I'm west coast, too. Hoping for a lucky break on the timing.
