Anyone have a Vargas Tuning Crankhub?

Adding some extra power to my F83 M4 and wanted to know if anyone is running VTTs spline lock crankhub. Been quoted $3800-$4200 for MaxPSI and Gintani variants which seem pretty high. I'm based in NJ and I'm currently contacting performance shops for more information. I haven't seen anything about catastrophic failure regarding VTTs crankhub and apparently they're used on cars making 900+hp (I don't intend on running that much power in my m4)

I went with insane performance as well and my local shop installed it for me. Total out the door cost including the part was about $2900.

We have tons of them out in the field, zero failures with the V2. It's easily the most aggressive and secure solution out there, and significantly less expensive turn-key installed.

Although the insane performance hub is cheaper, shouldn’t the install be more than the maxpsi due to the one piece design? I thought the one piece design meant that you have to drop the oil pan thus more work. So how are people getting this installed cheaper? Or are the shops installing the Maxpsi one just charging a premium because they know they have an in demand part?

My friends shop did mine and gave me a great deal on the install cost so that could be why my cost is lower than everyone else's.

Hey, I got the Vargas V2 hub installed about 2 weeks ago.

I'm not running crazy power, I just have the stage 2 tune from Alex@Alpine and got the hub done for peace of mind since I plan on keeping this car long term. So far I haven't had any issues at all and I had EAS do it and feel confident in driving the car as hard as I want. I think you'll be fine with v2 of the Vargas hub.

I paid around $3k after parts and labor and taxes (CA) to give you an estimate. I have the receipt in my car so I can get PM you the exact cost and break down if you want to compare it with shops in your area.

Nice you had EAS do it for you as you get that no slip guarantee right?

Correct, but also because I know and trust EAS knows what they are doing and they've always been a pleasure to work with. With that said, in the SoCal area I'm sure there are plenty of other great shops that can do it, I just felt more comfortable with EAS doing it. But yes, warranty as well lol.

I had bought my VTTv2 during The BF sales, had a local shop install it-back in Jan. I paid about 2400 for the install and 450 for the full Crank hub capture kit, all Parts and fluids included.
I'm on stock power(for now) I drive my M like it was meant to be driven,no issues.
Going to Stage 2 this summer when this.... pandemic ends.
For the price it's good....

Yes including parts and they said they're doing 1 day turnarounds also.
