i installed the VRSF charge pipes on my 2018 M4. they are in and all seems tight and fitting good. i test drove it and under hard boost i hear whine sound. is this normal due to more of an open flow? Almost sounds like a super charger. but not as pronounced as a true SC. it does run fine, full boost etc. no codes, feels fine. i think it s boost leak.

I also noted that the oem bolts wont work with the new pipes. So i used the supplied bolts.
any feedback on this would be great, thanks !

Update
After re aligning the tbolt clamps and tightening them better i think the problem is fixed.
I guess they were too lose. I was afraid of cracking the IC. But now seems fine.

If it's a high pitch whistle during boost, tighten those four clamps a tad more. That was the case with mine from VRSF

I have the VRSF CP and never had any issues so far. As Kuervers mentioned, did you transfer the O rings to the VRSF pipes? How about the Methanol bungs?

Both the o rings and meth plugs are in and fine. Maybe my couplers are off or need to adjusted.

You might want to install back stock charge pipes, I've installed several brands and none of them fits "perfectly" like OEM. Maybe some other brand out that that fits like oem that I didn't happen to install yet.

Did you use the oem e torx bolt or the Allen head bolts provided by vrsf? I tried using the oem e torx and had a similar sound. When I switched to the Allen head bolts I was able to get a better seal.

We have the same charge pipe on the shop's M4, never had an issue.

I recommend you contact VRSF direct and ask their opinion

I could not get the oem bolts to work they didnt fit the new pipes right. I used the supplied bolts. Worked great.

I did some more adjusting and ive seem to fixed the issue. I think the tbolt clamps were too lose.
