I have same issue with my M3 with 2800 miles

I have same issue with my 2017 M3 with 2800 miles
crazy part is that few days before the check engine light I had phone call from factory asking about my car? Now this kind of worries me.

My O2 sensor should be replace today and hopefully this is the end of any issues.

I will update if any more issues.

Their website has changed, but BMW supports Top Tier Gas standards and was prominently mentioned on their original website, as were all of the other car manufacturers that supported this. Now there is no mention of which car manufacturers recommend and support the Top Tier Gas standards, so I googled it (second link). BMW is listed on the clark.com site. BTW, ARCO and Costco gasoline are approved as Top Tier Gas suppliers.

Top Tier Gas

https://www.google.com/search?q=bmw+...d+top+tier+gas

This Wikipedia article gives the history and indicates that BMW was one of the original manufacturers that helped set the standards for Top Tier Gas, along with GM, Honda, and Toyota.

Ive been filling up at costco for the past 16k miles and never had any mechanical issues. car runs like a champ. all my previous and current vehicles (turbo german cars like audi and etc) all fill up costco and no mechanical issues either.

Probably just a mistake. They should fix it under warranty.

If any of you has ISTA/D, it can give you stats about the fuel quality, see my thread. If not, at the very least ask your dealers for this info when they blame bad fuel!

Would like to clarify that Costco is a Top Tier gasoline provider, which is a very strict certification to maintain. Sams club is not. Costco deserves credit where it's due, and their gas is still generally cheaper than everywhere else.
