Just hit 72k miles and have had the top mount replaced twice (~40k and ~70k miles) and the valve cover replaced for PCV failure at 70k miles.

What did you use as a replacement at 40k?
Brand new genuine bmw unit?

I did. Both times covered under warranty. The first was for the standard warranty and the second fell under the 7/70 emissions warranty.

I got mine replaced under warranty too.

Could you elaborate on that 7/70 emissions warranty?

Does that mean they will warranty out of factory warranty?

Thank you,

The 7/70 warranty is a California thing and about the only thing they are good for. The way it works is it covers a long list of parts that affect emissions up to 7/70 and there is an 8/80 for the listed parts that are normally only covered on the federal 2/24 warranty. You should reference the little book that accompanied your owner's manual. It is called the "New vehicle limited warranty." My service advisor just chuckled when I walked in with that in hand and said I am the first to ever reference it. He put it in the write up and everything was covered.

Mine has 48k miles and the oil drain plug has leaked after each of the past 2 oil changes. Both requiring a follow up visit and replacement of the drain plug washer/gasket.

Otherwise, problem free.

Perfect Car

Just traded it in 18 with 93K and not a single issue. This car was bulletproof and every mile was a blast.

Awesome! If you don't mind sharing how much did you get for trade in and what did you replace it with?

2015 F82 at 97k. So far only a faulty seat sensor and gaskets for the valve cover and oil filter housing. Oh and also had to replace a leaky coolant tank. All of those happened in the 80k-90k mileage range.

Loving every mile so far!

2019 M4 MT, 120,000 + miles today. Tuned with BM3 stage 1 91 since 5000 miles. Only issue was a broken accelerator pedal cover. Heck I'm even on the OG brakes. Don't know why my brakes are lasting so long given how hard I drive this car but I'm not complaining.
