How's the air conditioning? Good?

Owners of the F80-83, do you like your car A/C? If you had before E90-93 , do you find it better, Same or worse?

I am getting F83 and I have E93 and I am not big fan of the air condition in it.

It's pretty damn good in my opinion. I'm in south Texas, and once the car has cooled off I have to turn the fans down because the car will actually get cold on the inside. And I haven't seen it draw to much power which is nice.

Agree with this ^.
I generally keep the car at 78 or it's too cold.
Also, ceramic tint helps a ton.

But doesn't take long time to cool off?

Both of my M4's and my wife's MY15 X3 have awesome A/C. Never a single issue.

When I first get in the car and start the engine, I immediately select MAX A/C. Takes about 5 mins to cool the car down to a comfortable level. After about 5 mins, I put the A/C back in AUTO mode 74/74*f and fan selector on full.

Fan selector speed in AUTO mode is how you select the max fan speed for AUTO mode. If the fan speed is set too low, the A/C will take longer to get down to the set temp, thus I keep mine on full.

It takes it about 5 or 10 seconds after the car has started for the air to get super cold.

A/C works well. Only annoying thing is if I use the A/C and then I stop my car and turn a/c off, the a/c compressor turns on automatically if / when get back into my car, even with the A/C button off.. few minutes later a/c compressor will turn off on its own if the a/c button isn't lit up. Annoying but I guess the car is programmed to do that to remove condensation.

Compared to the family vehicle (Acura MDX) the M3 AC is just ok. You have to turn it up full blast for several minutes to get comfortable in 90+ Florida heat.

I just took delivery last week, and I think the A/C is considerably better than my 2013 328i. Even in the extreme heat we have had in FL lately, it cools the car down much quicker and at each setting seems a bit cooler overall.

I used to keep my E92 335 at 65 degrees. I'm way too cold at that temp in my F80. Usually keep it around 68 or 69 and it's still chilly.

I think the cold air comes on fairly quick in my F80 but since the passenger area is fairly large greenhouse it takes some time on Full A/C to cool the car completely. I find that if I open all the windows first, full A/C and drive off, then close the windows it helps on really hot days.

I've also installed the BMW Remote app and start the A/C a few minutes before heading out to the car when I can. It's awesome (if you have that option).

I had an E93 and I thought the A/C was just next to meat freezer - on long drives I'd have to turn up the temp pretty high to keep water from freezing (<- not totally true). I find the F83 to be not as strong, but it's just fine for me.

I just did a 2 hour hike in 95^F, got in the F83, hit Max A/C, and was cooled off in 10 minutes, then put the top down

So I didn't have any problems with either, but I do find the F83 to be not as powerful as the E93 although note that my F83 was one of the first 40 (for the US) off the assembly line.

E90 AC was better (colder) with many more settings on airflow speed and flow bias available while still in Auto setting.
