Ducfan, those are great rides that you will have and should look spectacular next to one another. I'm leaning AY, but may get a chance to see the colors at VIR next week.

the recent posts in this thread have put me square back on the drawing board. god I am hopeless... and not many days left where I could make a change I'm sure.

For sure no YMB for me, though I do agree that I think in time we will all find that BMW nailed it as said above. For sure it is amazing on that M3 we keep seeing. The lady took one glance over at my screen last night and said something to the effect of "how cute, a smurf car" which immediately turned me off. I don't need to be hearing that for the next several years. Oh, the despair

I think I will need to stop by the dealer and take another pass at things...

Austin Yellow M4

I ordered Austin Yellow with Black Interior. In my opinion, the M4 is a special car that looks quite plain and ordinary in other colors.

Initially, I was torn between the yellow and mineral white. Both make the car look great, but the yellow seems to show more of the M4's design lines.

I am a little concerned about how the yellow will look in certain lighting conditions. I'm not a fan of the gold/bronze looking appearance, and much prefer a brighter and more vibrant yellow....which is why sunshine will be so important for this color to look its best.

It is a gamble, but one that I'm going to take! Worse case, I can wrap the car in Matte Black.

Welcome to the club hornets. We are a small portion of the buyers for a reason, since everyone normal prefers something more subtle. We just are going to have to handle the glares in the streets.

I can't think of a better place for sunshine than Toronto.

Also, love the Singapore Grey if they offer it to Canada.

The SO demands a restraint and a cool personality to work trough the not red paint, and I have been looking at the parking lots people who in my mind (twisted and weird mind of mine) could pull it off, and that list is not long. When done correctly, it will take the price as the most memorable of all.
I bucked after seeing the guy post the YMB today Changed to black sapphire and black interior with CF trim

If stealth is what you want go for black. I saw one last week and had to look twice before i could tell it is a M3. Not my thing.

Today i could check out an F80 and F82 in SO. I must admit that SO looks kinda cool on the F82. Didn't like it on the F80.

I happily take the credit when it comes to ruining peoples self image. I even freely admit that I didn't have the balls to roll in the blue. That still just takes too much, even I couldn't pull it off and just due to my lacking in certain areas.

Yeah, but I'll still have more fun as a hornet, while you stroll around an a bat mobile. We will still both be mile higher than many, but let it be our little secret.

That's one of the most accurate statements regarding M color picking.

I have now changed from Alpine to Silverstone, the lowest percentage choice in the poll. At least I won't see myself coming and going, easy to keep clean and it's an M exclusive color. I think it will look good with full SO interior.

I saw Silverstone II on an M6 yesterday in person, and it was a very impressive silver.

Greg great that even you struggled with the color. It helps us puppies to know, that even the big dogs had a hard time with this one. Cheers, and I bet it will be a beauty.

Please do, I hate to think I'm the only one who went all girly over this. I know I'm more qualified in that area than most of you, but still, I have no idea what happened to me.

I saw color swatches of all colors yesterday. I have come 180 degrees from being frustrated with a perceived lack if options to appreciating what BMW us doing. They are giving us great classic-type options with the whites, gray, silver and black as well as spectacular color options. I have to say after seeing AY, YMB, and SO (SO I've seen on a car), they are all great. The YMB will be great, and I was not liking it in the picks. It's darker than I thought. Really nice. I'm not worried anymore about a bad choice, just having fun selecting between two great choices. Much more fun now.
