Installed a set of ESS 200cpsi GESI catted downpipes recently, here's some pics of installation:

The build quality on these pieces is superb, perfect fitment.

Not 100% certain, since new CA vehicles will not need testing for 6 years from sale date.

If it doesn't throw any CEL, you're probably good

That's the only reason I decided to buy them was because of the cats they are using.

It's definitely the top notch quality product.. But even stock cats are efficient enough for our cars .. Cattless showed minimal gains of about 10whp catted will probably show 5whp or no gain what's so ever .. This is something you get for sound .. But it's definitely the best quality catted downpipes on the market right now ..

Installing a catless set of ESS downpipes as we speak. Will post some pictures once completed.

ESS Catless Downpipes:

Just like the catted versions, the ESS Catless Downpipes fit perfectly.

I'm interested in sound.

How different are they from their catless counterparts in terms of sound?

Do the catted DPs throw a CEL? Since you installed a set you should be able to tell by now.

How much for the install?

Do the catted dps provide any noticable gains in hp/tq and/or lower temps?

We see very little difference in comparison power in between the GESI cats and fully catless downpipes, sound is a bit subdued, as expected. Throaty, not obnoxious. Expect underhood temps to be slightly higher than catless, but lower than OEM DPs - a good middle ground.

You will still get a CEL if installed without a tune, as the cats are ultra-highflow and falls outside the threshold of what the O2s are used to seeing. Installation is about ~2 hours.
