Haha, how long do you think you'll keep the M3 Guy?

Was going to keep my 335d 3-4 years .... Until I seen Tony's mega discount post.

Good man.
How long did you manage to keep the 335d?

I was banned from changing my car until it was three years old as I managed to have 3 cars in the space 24 months :-)

One of them only lasted 4 months!!

I took delivery of my 335d in Nov 2013 to had it about 2 and a half years. Wasn't looking to change it particularly although always had one eye on an M3 for a while. But the M3 was a bit more than I wanted to pay ..... Until Tony's discount thread appeared on f30post. Then overnight I'd gone from feeling perfectly happy with my 335d to buying an M3. Bonkers!

But you just gotta do these things.

Totally agree, I was looking at a 435d and a 440i but always wanted the M4.. I had been looking for a while then the deal came up and here we are.

Always wanted a proper M car and I think the M4 with the CP will tick that box nicely

Will have to be a while Andy as next up is Disco replacement in 3 years and that's going to be expensive! Plenty of saving up needed!

Yay! We're in the same batch (which makes sense as same colour!). Best check on my status later.

Not long to go now

At least with the M cars, you can't thrash them cold as limits revs and power on cold. That's the only thing I would be worried about.

Looking forward to pictures now!!!
no I'm p*ssed off!!

my car is arriving today at the dealership from Southampton and is being PDI'd and driven over to the body shop to have the MP parts fitted. ready for handover tomorrow. they have painting the matt front splitter in high gloss black for me and have the spoiler, diffuser and carbon corners ready too. this was all done 10-days ago as I ordered the parts 3 weeks ago...

now wouldn't you have thought somebody there would have opened the box of carbon bits I ordered and checked them before today? they've had them for 10-days! well the spoiler and diffuser are damaged and will not be fitted! so new ones have to be ordered!

this now destroys my plan of coming home tomorrow with the 'standard' M3 and saying this is how it comes darling. so appears i'm not wasting money on MP mods.... the useless, fekless, dumbass gits!

Plan B needs to be put into action. The carbon bits (that are clearly standard on the CP) were damaged in transit. Dealer has removed and said you can take delivery and they will replace at a later date free of charge once they come in.

Simples!

oh don't worry I have a story planned for her in doors... your one is better though so. but i'm just annoyed I have to wait for 2 weeks until those inept sh*ts can get another spoiler from germany oh they had a spare diffuser from another order that i'm pinching, so i'll only be minus the spoiler. 24 hours and counting...

Run in service complete. Picked her up at lunch, got her nice and warm and gave it the beans.

It's really quite something when you don't have to consciously drive conservatively!

It's not that cheap, but I genuinely think it'll be worth it in the long run.

The ceramic coating is amazing, the car doesn't get that dirty. A long motorway drive in rain and spray is resolved by a quick jet wash. If its left over night and the grim drys its a snow foam, quick wash and jet wash. Water just runs off the car so drying is super quick.

During the week i've been using a quick detailer to keep it looking its best, full wash at the weekends.

PPF is on the front bumper and front section of the roof.

Mine is next Thursday 😀
Can't wait to stop driving it like a Granny and try out Launch Control.
Will need to find a very open and empty strip of land though to really try it and de risk me doing high speed doughnuts or worse!!
