I must admit on the 997.2 it was a piece of cake otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it.

If you want to hear how it will sound on a cold start up with the valves open before you go to the bother of getting under the car:

1. Press the start button (no foot on brake)
2. Select sport+ throttle
3. Press the accelerator to open the exhaust valve
4. Start the engine (it's quite a bit louder)
Really? That simple? When would the valve then close again? I thought it would be throttle speed or back pressure activated? So does sp+ throttle setting open the value in normal driving circumstance and keep it open?

Been running with the valves open all the time, have the valve controller fitted but whilst I can close them you really get to like the noise open

No, as described buddy that just opens it for the cold start so you can hear what it sounds like with the valves open

As the valve controller is still plugged in the valves will close at some point, you'll still need to either unplug or get a widget to open the valves permanently or on demand.

Been mentioned a few times, got this from the US and fitted in 30 minutes and works perfect, configured to suit you, as default open or closed, in the morning I turn on ignition and activate the controller to close the valve, keep the noise down and then deactivate on the main road, after this it stays open all day, it also fits on the MPE which I would love to hear with the valves fully open

It's happened to us all, sat for 3 months waiting on the car with spacers, black badges, lots of IND parts and the valve controller, hidden in the back of the wardrobe , called the garage several times to add more parts, yesterday I fitted the IND door lock delete, looks good, enjoy picking your parts

Re the IND door lock delete, do you still get a lock on the boot for emergency access?

Here's a quick clip of the exhaust. It's in sport plus. No mods

Dear lord that's good, thanks for posting. So, I'm not against the wheels now, and the exhaust definitely sounds nicer than stock. Hmm.

Sounding good there. Hope you're enjoying your new baby! How many 'get the paper' trips have you done so far this weekend?

A very nice sound indeed for stock, this alone is worth the CP pack to me. Nice and deep plus burbles and pops.

Haha, yes there have been a few 'extra trips' out. Oh don't worry love I'll go get the kids from the party, I'll go shopping, oh damn I forgot to get milk for the morning..

I've treated the leather too with stain guard and leather treatment so it's protected for now.

Think I'll be going the long route to work tomorrow too

Much easier than unplugging the valves: remove the 2 fuses (#146 and #147) in the trunk . You still need to start the engine, ensure the engine is sufficiently warmed up and put it in Sport (or Sport+) to get the valves to open. Once they are open, just remove the fuses and the valves will stay open. No connectors to tape up and also very easy to reactivate the valves by syimply putting the fuses back in .

And no, no loss of low end torque. This is a turbo engine .

BTW, your car looks great. I have a soft side for SSII, and the 666M look pretty good with it. The CP seats are also sweet in SS. Congrats !!!

Lalalalalalala...... I can't hear you.... I'm trying to resist ordering it.

Are there any weight savings or power gains to be had by swapping to MPE?

thanks mate. Or do as Wills said and push start button without brake, put in sp+, push accelerator pedal then valves will be open. Then remove fuses... Will a fault show up if either fuses are removed or plug disconnected?

The wheels are really growing on me. But I'm considering powder coating them dark gray. Have you seen any in US/ Canada who have done this to 666 M wheels yet? I don't want to regret it and they look smaller, so be good to see an example before I go for it... Maybe just a photoshopped pic of dark 666s on SSii...?

Do you think gloss black 666 wheels would go well or be too much black/ shine?
