It seems that they've lost loads of money on the scheme so far and there's a possibility it will be scrapped. The same car that I'm in now (18 month contract, 20k per annum) from Q4 2015 rates would be an additional £120 per month if I signed up today

Am I right in waiting for q1 do people think? Current prices are rubbish but don't want there not to be a scheme soon and miss out altogether

Yes, I was aware of that. I'm sure the dealers will be very happy with the registration Not that anybody is rushing for Q4 offers ATM

It may even be cheaper to get a quote from Coast2Coast, beat your dealer down with it and arrange your own PCP

Chompers any thoughts on my question above? Given you seem to know the scheme quite well.

It's a good question. We're towards the end of the year BMW has just passed Audi for overall registrations for the year and have what they call a healthy order bank to see them through to year end. Q1 17 and it all starts again. An important 1/4 given the unknown of the VED changes.

May be an idea for your wife to ask about the CBS scheme to see if her dealer is taking part

The Alphadrive headline deals are on cars they want to move, so M cars are unlikely ever to feature. If you can find a physical car thats a bit long in the tooth, you may be able to get a deal on that, however. Physical 5 series may be a great deal in January!

Argh. They don't run a scheme like that. I'm reliant on alpha drive as even at these rubbish rates, it still seems a lot better than going to the market as there is no deposit.

Can I confirm that there is no benefit in kind owing for this alpha drive scheme. It's. it clear on the website but it does mention BIK which was odd. To me it's just a heavily discounted finance pcp so there is no BIK.

Still reckon I will wait for Q1 to see if it improves though.

Morning all. Turns out the dealership have launched a cbs scheme as you were suggesting. It seems really good with m3's on it and x3's. I'm getting both hopefully but I recall the chancellor saying he was going to clamp down on schemes such as this. Does anyone know if this is around to stay before I join and sell my owned cars? They get swapped every 6 months on this scheme so keen to make sure I'm not going to end up with nothing.

Properly getting hacked off now with this. Still badly want a m3. The dealer has a cbs scheme but apparently won't do m cars as they've 'used up their allocation' whatever that means. Alpha drive still hasn't got them on. I may end up having to just buy one privately at this rate. I was even going to suggest buying one on the cbs scheme and buying it outright after the 6 months using something like Oracle finance. Any views on this? Anyone purchased their cars on cbs and actually bought them at the end as assuming they should be a good deal.

2016 BMW M4  [0.00]
My M4 is an AlphaDrive - right before the rates went up. I wouldn't rule M cars out on Alpha Drive, as they have clearly had them before. They are hard to get right now which may be why they are not on alpha drive. That could always change, though
CBS you only get the car for 6 months - that would break my heart.

Yes agreed. Thanks. I have now agreed to get one on cbs so that at least keeps me happy and I finally get my hands on one but I'm going to watch alpha drive also as I agree with your comment about 6 months. Alpha drive is just so much more money per month. Would you be kind enough to pm me with tour rough cost per month so I know what alpha drive is capable of as at the moment it's many hundreds more per month for similarly valued cars than cbs. Fingers crossed I may finally get one.

Digging up an old thread, but does anyone know if an Alphabet registered car, which has an BMW employee's name on the logbook at the Alphabet office in Farnborough, could be subject to demo loans to individuals or BMW dealers?, or are these cars strictly only driven by the registered employee him/herself. I was given a screen shot of the order from a BMW system, which shows order type as 'Internal Sales sold APP Arrngd' and Dealer: 90171 Choices FS, and was advised it was a Employee Choices Car. Any ideas, thoughts.

The dealership my son works at did away with Alphadrive over a year ago. His scheme, I believe, maybe dealer specific.
It's for employees & immediate family only. It's only a 6 month scheme too. No option to buy after the 6 month term as it's purely a lease.
Good thing is, you get your own insurance so it's personal choice as to who can drive it.
You don't take any hit for taxing the car regardless of list price, and any service requirements or work it may need (including tyres) is all included.
He's just got a new (1st March) registered M140i for his other half, which I believe is £234 per month. Which over the 6 months is miles cheaper than the depreciation if bought.

Thanks for the input, the one I have deposit down on is an ex-Alpha owned car, as mentioned the logbook has an bmw employee's name, so assume it wasn't for a family member, and has the registered address of c/o alphabet in Farnborough. I've been made assure by the dealer that it is employees car at Alphabet office itself, which I'm ok with, just wanted to rule out that cars under this scheme are not subject to demo loans of any sort. As a few years back when I requested a demo car, the dealer had to source one from BMW UK head-office in Farnborough.
