Best 19 inch Track Rim Option, Keeping CCB, Stock GTS

Hey everyone and anyone willing to put some input, Just trying to figure my options for 19 inch rims on the GTS. I have seen other post but they always appear to be hijacked by other saying to buy a BBK and 18 inch rims... Well i don't want to do that.

I am going to leave it stock street ride height and track it occasionally. Can anyone suggest proper wheel specs that would allow for maximum tire width. I would like to buy a rim without the need for spacers.However I understand that isn't always the case. I suspect that my best option for now would be wheels provided by APEX? Maybe Titan-7???

According to European Autosource, it appears that APEX will be coming out with new 19 inch Forged R-Line fitment options soon perhaps?

Currently, it appears to me that
Front: 19x9.5- 275/30R19
Rear: 19x11 (or 19x10.5)- 305/30R19
are the largest fitment possible.

Thoughts??? Does dropping ride height impede on wheel size?

Can't actually give you feedback on 19" fitment since I've done zero research there, I went 18" + BBK. You could also email Apex, they've got a decent amount of customer feedback and their email support was pretty responsive.

Besides Apex I've seen a number of BBS wheels, but otherwise nothing has stuck out.

Yeah, I ll hit them up regarding those fitment numbers. It is a very informative web link.

Just curious to see if anyone has done 19" with fitment photos. I see alot of normal M4 with similar fitment, generally its used with lowered car and street driving. But some of us know that tracks and Autocross pushes suspension components further. Maybe APEX will have better numbers once I contact them. Every milometer counts.

19x9 +25 255/35/19, 19x10 +25 275/35/19

The best track setup I've used is 19 x 9.5 with 265/35 Cup 2's on the front and 19 x 11.5 with 325/30 Cup 2's on the rear. This combo maintains the correct front to rear stagger for optimum MDM and ABS function.

Damn, that is a fat rear end. Are you lowered without C Clamps, or using spacers at all? Any clearance issues? Pictures?

No clearance issues at all, rear wheel offset is ET45. 325 Cup 2 (NO Porsche spec) aren't as wide as the 325 PS4S or Toyo 888R and they fit perfectly lowered.

Thats impressive. I will definite look at that. Now i just gotta get correct rims. I was going to settle on APEX recommended sizing but I am intrigued by this.

I just ordered 19x9.5 ET22 and 18x11 ET44 from APEX (EC-7 wheels). I plan on running 265/35/19 and 305/35/18 Toyo R888R's.

My GTS is stock but lowered in the track setting.

After speaking to APEX more than once, they guaranteed me this is a direct fit with zero mods necessary.

I'll post pics soon!

You want a wheel that's at least 10" wide in the front so you can properly support a 265 or 275 tire. Unless you have clearance issues with suspension there is no reason to go 9.5 in the front, which I don't believe is the case with stock GTSs.

If you are running stock height I'd highly recommend to put more rubber in the front...any Apex wheel with 10.5et22 will fit in the front at stock height...and then you can go as high as 305.

If you're keeping it streetable then I would say run 275 (which most 275 tires have a 10" tread width), in that case you can run the 10et25 setup Apex sells and have a properly supported tire.

I'm running 18x11 et44 squared for reference, with a 295-width tire(Toyo RR). There is plenty of room up front.

Was running those RR on 18x10.5 ET 40 squared, 11” must be even better!

I think that would be the ideal setup for tracking purposes. Not sure If recommend for OPs street needs...I know when I had the 305 fronts the tramlining was a bit much not to mention driving in the rain.

You running camber plates and 20 spacers right?

Been enjoying the setup, the front-end feels great. Rear I think will always require finesse to put down power.

Yeah, just giving it as an example of how much space there is up front. OP wants to fit a 19" for the CCBs, but you can go way wider than a 9.5" up front if you want.

Yup to plates + spacers. Been working a treat for front/rear rotations. Heavy car is eating the fronts.

More front tire is never going to hurt on this car. I can't imagine only running 265 fronts on a "track setup".

You need a 285 or more in the front to really dial out understeer.
