Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser
Anyone got one?
I'm looking to pick up my car next week (F82 M4 Competition Coupe), and I'm considering getting some extra security. The Ghost immobiliser has very good reviews, but I have a concern. Because it's software based, I'm worried it may conflict with things like Bimmer Code or Bootmod3. There's a 'service mode' so it's possible to apply/remove updates, but is it possible they may have a negative affect? |

I am not familiar with this device, but it should not interfere with any coding you do with BimmerCode or tuning you do with BM3 as those devices do stay plugged into the OBD port. BM3 does have the OBD Agent WiFi device that you could keep plugged in if you like to datalog or use the BM3 gauges while driving - so that could be an issue. Otherwise, you should be fine.
