Ive been planning to bin it for a while due to the censorship and lack of continuity on rules (not to mention the way threads get deleted snd folk get banned without any kind of explanation) So decided I had nothing to lose making my displeasure known. Got into a fairly visible tussle with the site team before I left. The responses only helped make my mind up that I shouldn’t support it.

The moderating team and the management behind them are my issue rather than the handful of eejits that go mental with people. Overall most of the guys on there are pretty sound I think.

Well I sell some parts and they wanted me to become a trader. Which I had no problem with. But because I get carbon parts made I mainly did it by request..... in order to make it viable for the customer I would get a couple made and sell the remaining two for example.
So I’m not mass producing and it’s not my job or business. I just love my car and when people see the things on mine they often ask me if I can get them things done.

Anyway, Suraj stated that I had to stop selling things! ( fair enough, as I said it’s not my job.. so no problem)... so I asked if I could sell things that I no longer wanted on my car for example..... when I was hit with a “NO” and and told maybe I could in the future!.... that’s when I started to get annoyed as surely that makes no difference as I am no longer making parts for people who ask me.

Then the attitude and threats started.
Honestly if you saw the tone on the messages like “ your lucky” and “ this is your last warning”....... bloody comical!

Knowing what was to come I posted on my build thread....( which is one of the most viewed threads on cutters)

Saying I’m likely to be banned and if anyone needs to contact me they can call my mobile.

Suraj left a message on my thread saying I was lying and “I had done myself no favours” then closed the thread and blocked me.... LOL

So I can’t post or respond tii ok anything on Cutters, so effectively “banned”

Thing is I don’t take kindly to any sort of threat.... and especially from people behind keyboards... who think they are Gods!

I had high hopes for that forum and the guys/girls on it are fab. I’ve done loads to my car and whilst I didn’t need to ask for much help I always offered the knowledge I gained from doing my own car.

I have the whole episode recorded for my records... if anyone wants me to post it let me know and I will do so. I Don’t t Lie!

Ah. Now I know who you are. I have a couple of your door handles. This is all because a couple of sponsors were complaining about having to fork out for traders fees when others were selling bits for free. He doesn’t want to upset paying sponsors and has looked at your request as a loophole. Don't see why genuine owners who are doing bits as a bit of a hobby can't just sell those bits in the classifieds. It's not like you're a commercial enterprise who's sole existence on the site is to sell things.

Place is far too totalitarian.

What made me laugh is the excuse that he said other sponsors offer similar items as I do!

But like I said it’s not my business and was happy to stop offering BUT when the tone the PM changed and the threats started... I could see the draconian route it was heading down
That’s when my eyes were opened!

I don’t see why my content (in its own small way) should contribute to their google ranking and in-turn their revenue so I deleted most of it and walked away. In the same way I wouldn’t use a dealer that treated its customers like shit either. No other reason than that really. It’s just an Internet forum afterall. No big deal for me.

Definitely seems way OTT Ed, you'd probably be best selling any bits on Facebook to be honest as theres a wider audience. I haven't really sold much on cutters but it generally seems people want something for nothing (mind FB might be just as bad lol). I do love a good private plate thread though

Its a shame things are going the way they are, I find the Facebook pages no better to be honest but whatever the deal you should never feel threatened.

Keep doing what you're doing and take nothing personally

Apparently the VChexk guy also got booted and his thread taken down because they couldn’t agree a deal on traders fees as well.

Hitlo also been approached about his custom parts being sold.

I was a memebr but contantly kept getting locked out and after emailing the "administrators" several times I gave up if honest.
