I like it. Sounds like my old e36 m3 which I miss.

Without that pesky engine sound to bother us, we will be able to better hear the tires sliding.

Catless dp and cat back, then it might sound very similar than turbocharged S52 or S54.

Sounds much closer to a production style exhaust. Still not sold but I think this thing is going to look beautiful.

I'm so excited!!! I've been waiting for updates on the M4
even camouflaged this new ///M looks gorgeous. It looks beastly going down the nurburgring. Only let down is the exhaust note
I hope they clean it up before production to make it sound meaner (AMG managed to make all their cars sound the same no matter how many cylinders so I'm sure if BMW played with it they could manage something). But other than that

Why are we seeing the M4 in development so soon? Isn't the M3 sedan supposed to be released first?

pause the top video at :28. Looks like we're getting a proper 6 pot front 4 pot rear ceramic BBK. This is going to be sick.

Not according to the sticky thread and Future timeline on the homepage. Looks like those have been updated.

It sounds like my wife's 335is which I really do not like as it is just blatty with a flat tone. I think the V8 will really be missed for its great character but I am pretty sure BMW will make the M4 a great car.

I admire your optimism, but there's also the inevitable turbo lag that may plague this next generation.

Aren't a lot of the new Mercs gonna be TT V8's? Why get a TT (T) 6 when I can have two more cylinders... Unless the 6 has that 3rd turbo...

Will BMW offer "Active Sound" system with artificial E9x V8 engine sound?

Seems like Bimmerpost members desperately need it.

Its not that bad guys. Im sure Sound will be better in real life... Example F10 M5. Sounds like a fart can on video. Sounds amazing in real life. The low and aggressive rumbles. Plus the Active sound is very minimal, and you can not really tell if its the speakers or the engine.
