2015 ID4 does not boot up after extended storage period

Hello,
I shipped my car from DE to Korea which took about 5 months.

Got the car today,
everything seems to work but the Idrive does not boot up.
The screen is completely black.
I can put CD;s in and out of the cd player but it will not play,

I have tried charging the battery to the car, running the car for an hour.
Disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes and reconnecting.
Doing the volume button reset.

It seems like the unit is completely off .

There is no bluetooth signal to connect to,
no backup camera.
The parking sensors make noise, but the radio doesn't work.
The hud works, the gage cluster seems to work with no missing information. (mentions tires are low on pressure)

I'm not sure what fuses to check exactly, or if anybody has a shoot from the hip solution?

Not allot of BMW support here in korea so I'm kinda on my own at the moment.

anybody seen anything similar?

Screen does not say "no signal"
Its completely off.

I would think a fuse or perhaps the car is in transport mode.

checked all the fuses.

I've never heard of transport mode.

I'll try to look this up, but i'm able to drive the car and everything works right except the idrive.
No radio, no screen, no bluetooth,

just a black screen.

Transport mode allows the car to be driven, but disables systems like infotainment to prevent battery drain during extended periods of inactivity.

I don’t know the process for it on an F8x though. For some cars it’s literally a switch under the dash.

yeah so you guys are right.
I had a mechanic unlock the computer with a scan tool he said shipping mode was on.

But the thing is the moment i started the engine it went back into shipping mode.

He said the only thing he could do was disconnect the GPS antenna to prevent it to going into shipping mode,
He also mentioned its a sort of a theft deterrent.
Anyway, I will download some region change software and have him activate the vehicle then while its active i'll try to change the region.

I ordered the region change software.

I'll have the guy remove the shipping mode then attempt the update as soon as you send me the files.

Oh wild, so the car did it automatically because of the change in GPS coordinates, interesting!

At least you know what’s going on and have a plan to sort it

yeah i had it unlocked and it works for a couple of minutes then goes back into transport mode.
Basically, no idrive anything.

Everything else works except the idrive.
I'm going to take it to BMW in a couple weeks.
