What's going on with your SMG?
Thanks everyone for the advice.

The smg is dropping out of gear I believe due to the warm weather we're having.

Inpa is giving me code 57 misuse and I'm getting a code for high temps

Inpa is giving me code 57 misuse and I'm getting a code for high temps
I've had the E46 M3 SMG for over 15 years and heat is a constant issue. The great news is that the car is doing exactly what it should be doing to protect the SMG Pump - so that's a blessing. To the extent possible you should consider opening the hood after your drive. The best thing you can do for yourself is to relocate the SMG pump to the open box area on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the windshield.
