F8X OEM CS Lip - instructions?
I bought the OEM CS front spoiler lip for my M4 from IND. Got all the necessary hardware and whatnot they were great about making sure to match the part list from what BMW requires.
My shop is a bit old school and he is asking for instructions but I can’t find them anywhere and the links from previous threads that were posted are all broken now. BMW didn’t have anything either when I called them. Did anyone manage to download the PDF for install on the CS lip? When I sent him the GTS lip instructions he freaked out about cutting into so many things but from what I read on the other threads all you need to do is trim for the center bar very minimally - he’s saying he will have to cut into the bumper itself to get it to fit so any help is much appreciated. |

HI,
Here's the link and hope this will help. I know you need to trim and adjust the L & R brackets, but not cut into the bumper... https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...nt+lip+install |

Do you know if you have to remove or not install the “pork chop” covers on each side for fender liners?

Hi,
Here's another link for installing the CS LIP. Hope this would help as well. Not sure what you are referring to for the Pork chop covers? https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...OEM+CS+LIP+DIY |

thank you for the help that last article post is very detailed. the Pork chops are the right and left splash guards I believe that sit under the sides right in front of the wheels.

Thanks all got this closed out, didn't end up installing the front bracket given the 2 on the right and left hold it in so securely once the screws are also in.
Something interesting, you can order the CS covers that are pre-fitted for the lip from BMW, just had to do some digging with the parts department. |
