I can't remember for sure but the other options were F10 disable, F20 disable, F30 disable.

I don't believe I saw anything enable.

Caution for people who are doing this:

1. MAKE SURE you save a copy of your FA, SVT and CADF files.

2. Fully charged Laptop and car battery.

I was doing the coding last night and couldn't read my ECU after a few uploads the car turned itself off to preserve battery! OMG. then when I drove a while to recharge, and re-run the coding I couldn't read one of the CADF files. it was corrupted during the upload when teh car shut itself off.

Thankfully I reloaded the SVT and everything worked afterwards. Coding was successfully done after.

MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP and CHARGE YOUR BATTERIES!

I usually pull out of the garage..leave my car running and run an extension cord to my laptop.. Plus i get to sit in the A/C.

You need a token to FDL code not to VO code.

Hey man were you able to look this up to see what your car shows? I was also thinking that maybe if I change value from werte=01 to werte=00 that it would revert itself to enable status. What do you think?

here is a pic of what mine looks like for the C_AFS_ENA setting.

Leave your werte value as is. hopefully this will work for you.

Just curious.. did you modify the FA and remove the code below. You will probably only have one of them.

If you remove 5AP you get "horizontal" glare-free, not the full deal, but you can code the shutter and and whatever else is needed to get full anti-glare adaptive xenons (if you have all the camera pre-requisites and assistant tech)l.
8S4 -Decoding of Variable Light is available in the USA.
"The light distribution is automatically adapted to the speed when you have adaptive headlights. The city light is active as of a speed of less than 50km/h (30mph). The motorway light is switched on at a speed higher than 110km/h (68mph) after approximately 30 seconds or as of a speed of 140km/h (87mph)."

I did not modify FA but I went back to the car and did following:

FEM_BODY 3073 C_AFS_ENA - Changed F020 disabled/F030 disabled to F030 enabled (I found that it was available)

FEM_BODY 3073 LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y - Changed F020Codierwert ohne AFS, F030Codierwert ohne AFS (9C 9C B0) to F030Codierwert mit AFS which displayed 9C 9C 9C value. <---I don't remember if these were the exact names but it's something like it.

Bottom line, VLD worked.

Hey guys, sorry for the dumb question (and if its been answered somewhere) but haven't played with Coding before. Will this cause issues for my warranty?

Hi Everybody

New here with a M4 Love it. I just want to ask for your experience with the warranty/motor plan as in the previous two post. Does the re-coding create problems with the warranty/motor plan. Thanks. J.
