I guess we can give BMW the win for better interior. I am sure the vette guys could careless. You may think they look like shit. fact is most people do not. and sales speak for them self.
of course sales speak for themselves. every 50-60 year old man went out and bought one. my gfs dad doesnt know shit about cars and he kept telling me it has a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds. they did great advertising and attracted alot of idiots.

I don't know about 10x the blower kits are very reasonable like ~8K the difference is the ceiling is much higher than a JB4/Downpipe with procharger kits creeping up into the 1.000 HP mark but obviously with more mods than the basic kit. Point stands if you want to compare modded cars the F8x doesn't stand a chance but not many cars do its not a negative the vette/LS platform is huge.

The interior of the vette is pretty good quality especially compared to the last generation but obviously most of the budget is spent on the performance aspects. The chassis/suspension/z51 is amazing for what you pay and the car is a serious weapon.

LOL i do understand your hate. It does seem that every 50-60 year old went out and bought one. that much I can give you.

All i know is that i have driven both, and the corvette is more fun to drive. I also like the V8 engine more than the turbo 6. I am sure you wont disagree with that though.

But buying a corvette does have its drawbacks for sure.

Apologies... actually 35k towards the end of 2007... please name one car at that time that had a better interior for the price within the same class.

Although there are fan boys on every forum, don't think every criticism is the result of fanboyism. The C7 is a helluva performer and has greatly improved interior but it is not without fault as I mentioned earlier. As far as the 50-60+ year old typical corvette driver goes...it is indeed accurate. Stereotypes exist for a reason. Nothing negative meant by this. It just is what it is

My buddy who I was racing in the original post is around 30. My other buddy who has a Vette is in his 30s, too. Of course there are older folks who drive Vettes, as there are 50-60+ y/o men who often drive S-Classes, Avalons, Ferraris, Porches, etc., too. I don't put much stock in that stereotype.

It wasn't directed at you specifically, but rather in general. I never realized how bad it was until I stopped driving my BMW. BMW owners are by far the worst when it comes to elitist tendencies. That's a fact.

EXACTLY my thoughts. I find BMW owners (more specifically M car owners) more grassroots enthusiasts who race. Maybe it's a geographical perspective being in Germany, but this guy I know who owns a RR Ghost has an elitist attitude that would make an i8 owner feel like a hobo. He put a deposit on a Porsche 918 and literally forgot the model number (918). He just wanted to be the first in the region to own one.

Not much time at all, but forums are just one part of the equation. I've only met one asshat Pcar owner face to face- and it was an old boss in the military who was a total POS (personally and professionally). I've met plenty of BMW tools in person. Just going off of my own experience.

I've met them at car meets in all forms. Vette, BMW and Porsche guys are all about the same on my experience. Haven't been to many lately (last 2-3 years) but my guess is that Audi guys would probably take top spot now.

The Ford crowd was always pretty high up there too. Between the Stang guys and the focus ST guys, I get overloaded pretty quick.

If someone has a Pagani, they can be a douche canoe. Seriously. If you have the money and taste, your Douche canoery is alright with me... Still never seen one in person.
