squeak from driver's door?

Hi guys, when I drive over bumps or pot holes I hear a squeaking sound (like something flexing or being stretched) from the driver door. have you noticed this? my car has only 400 miles on it....can take it back to the dealer to check but don't want to waste my time if it is a common issue.....thanks

I had the creaking on all 4 doors. Took it to dealership, they told me I didn't want the teflon tape as its unsightly, and instead used this gummi pflege on all 4 seals. No more creaking. Don't know how long it'll last, but I'll probably get some myself for when I need to reapply.

Doesn't hurt keeping a tube in the toolbox, works like magic and conditions rubber.

Per other forum members' recommendation, applied the Krytox Grease on the shadow trims. Dead silent ever since, 2 months and counting.

I first tried GummiPflege, but find that it didn't work well; creaking noises were back a couple of weeks later. Besides clay barring and waxing the door frames, I found that Shin Etsu Silicone works much better than GummiPflege. See https://www.amazon.com/Honda-Genuine...+etsu+silicone

This stuff works so its well worth the cost. Aside from applying this all around the door seals I also noticed a squeak recently (going over bumps) coming from right under the mirror base where there is a rubber gasket that comes in contact with the black shadow line trim. Added some grease there and the noise went away.

I tried gummi flege, krytox and neither worked. It wasn't until I put Teflon tape that all the creaking went away. It's only visible when the door is open and even then you have to be looking under the shadowline trim. None of the Teflon tape I've tried are completely transparent, but if you use a squeegee you're able to squeeze out most imperfections.

There is an extensive discussion on this in this thread. The exact locations are pointed out in post #51, https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...5&postcount=51

so i've heard this described multiple times as squeaking or creaking. whatever noise i have coming from the window (at the top of the frame where it seats into the door) is more of a croaking, thumping, groaning. i'm going to order some of the pflege and see if that solves what i'm hearing. if not, then i'll have to find a way to upload a video of my noise to see if it's anything different.

pfledge worked great for me in the cool'ish Seattle weather (50-65^) until rain came. A few wet days and I can see the washed off pfledge on the side skirts (follow the flow of water) and the groaning starts to return. The good side of the rain is, when it is actually raining, I don't hear the groaning coz the water is the lube!
