I am a business owner with many employees. If someone did this to me, it would really hurt my bottom line. I would absolutely report this because I would hope someone would do the same for me.

I went to a Kinkos and had some presentations bound in letter books. The guy behind the counter told me to pay him cash and he would give him a 50% discount. seemed like a routine he had. I paid by Credit Card and immediately contacted Kinkos and told them he was stealing.

For the record, I don't really care to make the guy lose his job.

That's not the point of me identifying who he is.

It's to make him think twice before he tries to rip people off on the internet under the guise of anonymity. Too often people try to pull a fast one, especially when it comes to car pricing.

There are a lot of idiots out there who just see a low monthly and don't think about how its not a good deal with the down payment, and while thats totally their fault, its not great to see someone blatantly exploiting that who is also a BMW employee and is likely profiting.

If this is was just an individual with this shitty of a deal, thats one thing, but for a BMW employee to be leasing these cars cheap just with the intent of trading out of them at a markup to someone who doesn't know better, thats just shitty.

You completely missed the point, the guy is a crook !! The BMW employee perk is to offer their employee leases for personal use at discounted prices, not to allow them to flip their cars at a huge profit every 6 months.
No wonder he's disappeared, what he's doing is not allowed by BMW and he should be fired for it. It's unethical and borderline theft.

Asking for a large down on a lease swap is ok when it's trying to recoup MSD's or money you put yourself. But on an employee lease, it's just money in his pocket, not money he's trying to recoup. Hence in my opinion he's a crook.

Had a Carrera 4s vert a few cars ago. Porsche is great but not very practical. You can look me up on rennlist I have a couple threads there talking about why it was tough to do basic things with a 911.

Have small kids now so my wife is an X5M and just traded in for a GLS Merc. Sacrificing 2 doors for at least 7-8 years.

Ok will do. Thanks for the advice. I'm still single so I thought maybe take advantage. Have an F85 right now and that thing is glorious. Don't have much need for it though so thinking about trading it in. That was my one fear over the Porsche. I'll check out your threads on rennlist.

Haven't checked them out personally but heard mixed things. Some people swear by them and some swear against them. Objectively speaking though they are good cars. You should check one out and test drive it. I might do the same when the X3M is released. Compare the two.

The internet is a wild place. Cyber-Sleuths catching dealer employees curbing deals. This is frowned upon by most dealers and is typically grounds for termination.

I would be shocked if BMWNA was ok with this practice. I'm assuming they are not, which is why we haven't heard from him since. As for losing his job, that's up to his employer. What I do appreciate is forum members calling out what seems downright unethical and protecting other members.

They are not. If an employee wants out that is fine but to get in and out repeatedly it is not kosher. The dealer could be dinged for that but he is a Manager and he knows that.

Aside from the guys complete lack of professionalism. I have seen this car in person and it is very nice.

He could have cleaned the car up much better in the photos in that Swap A Lease ad. Amateur move.

Even with the 7k down is this really such a horrible deal? I bet you could even negotiate with him for 3-4k down and then you're looking at a payment still lower than most are getting on 2018 cars today with such horrendous residuals and money factors.
