Is there a good bang for the buck system for HK equipped vehicles?
I'm no audiophile but even I'm not happy with how you have to crank the volume on the Harmon kardon system to get any clarity and still have no bass.
I've researched the bavsound and bimmer tech replacement kits but it seems like there are many that feel that they are mostly marketing and offer little improvement for the money. I would be happy to be wrong, as this would be the type of thing I'm looking for. What other options are there? I'm willing to get a little creative and consider things like dynamat, but I'd really like to avoid some monstrous custom setup with a giant double subwoofer in the back (although a hidden setup would be good).

Have you tried adjusting the equalizer? Mine sounded terrible until I adjusted something's and I am fairly happy with it. Maybe I am just not as picky but there are threads on here with discussions on settings for the equalizer

If you’re into that Miami Bass and want window rattling audio, this probably won’t do it for you... because it doesn’t have 20 subs and 1 million watts powering it. Kevin was great to work with.
