Hoosiers

Ive ran pirrelli Dh scrubs 305/315 on apex 18 10 front and 11 rear no problem on my gts. Im looking to try hoosiers. I know they run larger. Those that have run the Hoosiers in 295/315 will the 40 series fit? Or should I go with the 30 series? Im running -3 deg camber up front.

SYT_Shadow glad to know 295x30 do fit up front. Opens up tire possibilities in future as I have been wanting to try the Proxes RR and they only come in 295x30 (or a skinny 235x35). Anything special needed such as fender rolling etc?

*FWIW, I currently run Hoosiers - 265x35 front and 295x30 rear and absolutely no problems in my lowered car with GC camber plates and -2.6 front camber.

No weird stuff, but running MCS 3W suspension. Depending on what you run it could be an issue.

I run 295/30r18 Toyo RRs up front on an 18x11 with the KW 3-way, which I believe has a larger diameter coil spring than most. No rolling needed.

You guys are running 295x30x18 correct? I think 295x30x19s are a no go. I would love to run 18s if I could but stuck with 19s.

Let me know how you like them compared to DHs.

I'm running A7s on the Corvette and it changed my life. Insane grip almost instantly.

I know DHs are ultimately grippier when you compare a set of stickers but I they require a lot more heat than A7s to get their grip. Wondering how quickly they fall off as well.

I usually get close to two full days with DH scrubs. 30 minute sessions 5 per day. Second day there is a noticeable fall off.

A7's will probably wear like gum but my god they are fast.

295/30/19's A7/R7 are in the sweet spot based on their specs for 19x10.5" front wheel fitments. The key is having the total diameter of the tire under 26.5" tall and not having a ton of section width to give you clearance on the strut. A7/R7 section width is right at 11.5" which is smaller than the 295/30/19 GY Supercar 3 (11.9" section width, 26" dia) I ran last year with an effective offset of +10. That GY Supercar 3 set fit better than a 285/35/19 (way too tall at 26.8") RE71R and the 275/35/19 (still kisses fenders but barely at 26.4" dia) Hankook RS4 I'm on now.
