Physics wins.
Actually he is correct. Brakes just convert the kinetic energy of motion into heat. The heat is then lost to the environment, so if you have not gathered sufficient kinetic energy to be converted into heat or if you have not braked rapidly enough, your brakes will not glow.

On the track you can get the CCB glowing, will be harder on the the road but still possible. I have seen a pic of an owner who had it on a track and he wasn't really trying, can not recall where I have seen it. They are designed to be able to.
CCB need more heat to perform optimal then steel brakes, they also heat up way quicker and get alot hotter. On a down side they cool down way quicker aswell! |

Lots of N-ring footage of glowing brakes with CCB, Steel, and prior gen brakes…tends to happen at really high speeds due to heat generated increasing exponentially w/ speed.

Depending on the rotor design and the target for optimal temperature range, the rotors may/may not get hot enough to glow. But wtf would you care as long as they work the best they possibly can?

Hey, I've read a few post on the internet saying that the carbon ceramic brake disc is 19" how is that possible when my wheels are clearly bigger than the brakes lol. Can someone explain?

Far as I've seen both CCB's and steel brakes of any car that aren't weak will glow under hard braking. Holding car for burnouts will do the same. Really... why does this even matter? You wouldn't notice when driving and under normal circumstances the glow will disappear shortly after. Proof in Motortrend video, raining or not. Unless your using steal brakes and lapped them on track non stop, yea there's the potential they'll glow longer and perhaps catch fire.
And yes... I did say your and steal :3

Agree, I am sure everyone knows the difference between all these words. After all, we are not publishing "peer-reviewed" articles here, so some of us don't sweat proofreading every single post.

Of course! She's Korean, it's in her blood to take pics of everything. No matter how boring the subject.
