vrsf mid VS AA single mid and EL mid

Hey guys, looking for some midpipe upgrade these days. Done my research on AA single mid and AA EL.

Do they sound much different in terms of volume and tone with stock DP and muffler (Non ZCP)?

I also found out VRSF is making this kind of single midpipe too. They look pretty much the same from outside with 2/3 AA's price. For anyone with experience, VRSF single compared to AA single, is the extra 350$-400$ worth to spend?

Based on the videos that I saw, the differences aren't huge. I would consider VRSF other than AA due to the price.

BTW, if you are thinking to buy, maybe we can initiate a group buys or something. I know Velocity Performance from Toronto (currently they have a sale event 10% off I think) that sells it for a bit cheaper than the rest of the places I found in Canada. Any shop you know in Calgary can order these directly maybe?

Same S55 qualities but significant difference in tone. With EL it’s still distinctly S55 but can sing throughout the entire rev range. EL is going to sound like a tradition 6-cyl screamer where as UEL is throaty and deep

AA is the original but the others seem to be identical copies. I'd say AA if you can afford it and care about brand. Otherwise, just get the cheapest one as they seem to be covered by warranties.

i have aa resonated EL paired with stock dp's and stock muffler-non-zcp. not much difference when valves are closed. much deeper sound when valves open, not obnoxiously loud.

I know there's a AA+Dinan dealer here in Calgary called MOTORWERKES. They seems like really know about bmw stuff.

Yes, I saw lots of member talked about EL can make the S55 sound like a classy inline 6 like 2JZ.

I kinda like the high-end tone(the rasp maybe? lol) of S55 cause I think that's the uniqueness of this engine. Maybe I'll go for the AA single mid just to keep some of the uniqueness tone of it.

I saw they are on a labour day sale right now.

In terms of copy that's a good thing for a competitive market but I'll try with AA to show some respect That's only 350$ difference and I'll pay for that markup on original design.
