My wife has the Digital Instrument cluster on her 2017 X5, trust me, you don't want it. looks cool at first but as you rev and speed up, the way the speed/taco digital needle moves is not as smooth and you'd miss the old school analog ones.

Anyone know if the new 2.0 LCI is guaranteed in a MY2018 car? I am about to pick up a MY2018 M4 that was manufactured on 5/17 and for the life of me I can't tell if I'm getting the latest LCI.
Thanks |

All MY18s are, by definition, LCIs. F82 MY18s began production in March 2017.

I have 2018 F82 built in 5/17. It has everything except iDrive touch screen, as it was mentioned before. I wouldn't miss it much, it is hard to reach anyway, and Apple Play is not very useful either (SMS is implemented as voice only, AP blocks regular BMW Apps like /M Laptimer, etc.)

The "model year" thing is a North American gimmick only. Most of the world go with manufacturing date, so it is possible for a 2017 manufacture to have the LCI icon headlights.

Mind my ignorance, but how can I tell if its Pre-LCI or LCI model or icon headlights? I have no touch screen in my navigation either.
