Sorry if I misunderstood.
Ed msrp and us invoice is roughly the same. It has been this way in the past.

Thanks.

I was asking if you made the same profit selling ED from ED MSRP->ED invoice as from US MSRP->US invoice. I'm sorry if this is confidential information and you can't answer. Just interested in seeing why dealers are unwilling to go below ED MSRP.

In a nutshell a dealer would much rather do a us delivery over a Ed order. Not just bc of price but it's a lot more work all around. David however has no problem with the extra work hence why he is the best in the business.

Oh, ok. I thought there was some monetary incentive for US deliveries.

Thanks.

As of now all the newest models are still requiring ED orders to come out of US allocations. This is not a good sign but who knows, only time will tell. ED invoice is prob something of the past IMO. ED MSRP or slightly under would most likely be the cheapest you will be able to get ED orders for now on. Most dealers will charge ED MSRP +
About how long does it take for ED orders to switch from dealer allocation to not coming out of allocation. Are we talking fall 2014 or early 2015?

Ok good, thanks for clarifying. So at least they aren't doing a universal change in policy. There is still hope for M vehicles, though this may indeed be a somewhat permanent switch back to the way things were before the economy went sour back in 2008 or so.

Did I read correctly a couple pages back that orders for M4 ED, with Individual color/leather, open up at a different time than just plain M4 ED with stock colors?

Also, in the past, how accurate are european delivery dates ?? Its a disaster to move my vacation weeks so if BMW give me July 1 for a delivery date, is it possible to have it slip significantly? (obviously I wouldn't travel until a week or two after just to give them a buffer for small slips, but I am talking about the possibility of a 2+ week slip)

I guess I better get my butt in gear and get ahold of David. This will be our second ED. Does Lufthansa still offer the 2 for 1 trip?

Just saw this sorry for the delay. You are given an exact date of ED and BMW does their best to accommodate it. Car is built around confirmed date.

Ok Thx. Are you able to order custom colors via BMW Individual for ED cars straight from the outset?

^^No info on that yet, should know more near the end of the year beginning of next year. BMW has not released any info on M3/M4 pricing, allocations, orders, or ED yet to anyone.

M3 / M4 European Delivery Talk

So from what I am reading, it looks like nobody will be taking delivery (ED / or otherwise) until June at the earliest? That is a lot of waiting! I was really hoping it was sooner than that.

For the people who have been through this process before, how is priority determined as far as who gets the first batches of the car? I mean even if we are #1 at our local dealership, there are also plenty more people who are "#1" all around the world... When can Joe Blow realistically expect to get the car assuming he orders as soon as the gates open?

ED is not for you if you do not have the patience.

BMW does not care if you are #1 on your local dealer's list or not.

Dealer puts the order into the ordering system, then BMW will assign you a production number and then you will determine your pick up day. Car is usually available for pick up 4-6 weeks after your order is accepted by BMW.

When you are putting your initial order in dealer will ask you for a target date for a pick up and they will work with you on the details from there on. So if you order the car on June 1st your pick up date will be somewhere around mid to late July.

Depending on where you live it can take up to 8-10 weeks for a redelivery to US.

That is IF there are no hickups or delays in production.

My E92 335i was one of the 1st production cars and BMW delayed production on the NAV equipped cars for a month back in 2006.

My M3 got delayed at CA port for 3 weeks bec of a strike.....

But overall I would not buy a BMW unless I do ED.

You can have the first allocation at a dealers and a customer who has the 4th allocation could get their car before you. Its all up to BMW and how they process the orders. There are tons of deciding factors that they take into account I'm sure when deciding on order of productions.

As of now there has been no OFFICIAL info regarding the M3/M4 allocations, price, delivery dates, ED to any of us dealers. So everything that is talked about is all guesses until BMW releases the info to the dealers. All we have been able to do is spec out launch cars and with those a date of April looks to be when production on those start.

As soon as we hear anything about ED or US orders, allocations, price, etc.. Dealers will be sure to contact everyone on their respected list.

2015 BMW M4  [10.00]
Got this from the ED guy at my local dealer yesterday:

Please let us get together in January as I should have more info towards that time.
I do not want to take a deposit at this time as it is too early.

Regarding the Euro Program. The Process is as follows:
1. Plan your trip
2. Select 3 pick up dates
3. I will need the dates and a copy of Passport and drivers Lic to reserve a date for you.
4. BMW will send you an email confirming a pick up time
5. Minumum of 30 days prior to pick up, we need to sign a Purchase Order.
6. 2 weeks before you leave you will sign the Lease/Sales agreement or pay cash.

The Euro Program includes 2 weeks of road insurance, 2 for 1 ticket through Lufthansa and the shipping back to the USA.
Normally, if these cars do not come out of our allocation, their is an approximate 6.5% price break. I will have more details closer to the release.

I will assist you throughout the process and believe me, it is the most fun you can have buying a car. Check this out. http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...y/default.aspx

All the best and lets stay in touch.
