It really is absurd....How many models are we going to go incandescent to LED, back to incandescent. It's a joke.

At least the front reflectors are flush and not those warts they slapped on the E90/E92 M3 bumper. Even painted the body color they looked bad.

No, M235i does not have LED turn signals in front or rear, only LED light bars like all BMW have had since the e90 came out. These are not the bars that change intensity when you step on the brake.

I'm glad those wheels are showing up again. I think they will look great in grey. Sort of like bbs f1s.

What are you talking about? Peruse the F32 forums. There are plenty there to look at. They DO NOT have LED brake lights.

Exactly!
I'm fairly sure F32 and F80 are completely different chassis codes. No other BMW has had laser lights beside the i8, so I don't discount the possibility of LEDs on the F80 M3 simply based on previous trends.

You're not listening. The F32/F82 coupes share the same elements that we're discussing (..much in the same fashion that the F30/F80 share the same components we're discussing). The F32 does not have LED tail lights. None of the F82's spotted have LED tail lights either. Why is this so hard for you to understand? Furthermore, LED's have NEVER been introduced the first year, and it has always been an LCI treatment (..just like the ZCP packages; the exception being the E46....the ZCP package came out about 3 years later in 2005; LCI hit the E46 in 2003.5).

No, YOU are not listening. I said earlier that if you zoom in, you can see the dotted pattern for which LEDs are known. I also said I don't know if that is simply the design of the lens. To be completely, I don't care about your speculation that they are not LEDs because you have zero evidence to validate it. I'm just saying I don't know if they are LEDs, and I'm not saying they are or are not. I'm only stating my observation that they look like LEDs. Did I spell that out for you clearly enough?

BMW is doing a few things for the coming years that they've not done before. Just because they haven't done something in the past does not mean they won't do it in the future.

You have bad eyes. The entire photo is pixelated, which is giving off the impression similar to an LED lamp. Take a look at the entire photo and you can easily see the grainy, pixelated nature of the photo (..it's a bad photo), especially if you look toward the bottom part of the bumper, tires, etc. It looks like that photo is part of the Matrix! LED lights are EASILY discernible. It doesn't require a squint or conjecture to guess how the lights are illuminated.

No, BMW is a creature of habit. You'll soon learn this. If this video doesn't put the silliness to rest, then I don't know what will.

I'm going to respond with this:

Was it out of habit that they used lasers in the i8? Was it out of habit that they built the i8?

The video proves nothing, as the LED top lightbar is just as blown out as the taillights. Good try though.

Seriously Judge!?? The i8? Surely you can do better than that. LOL! I'll leave this alone, and I'll be sure to call you out when the F82 hits the streets. Own up to being completely wrong when it happens too!

Seriously, Sedan!!!

I am only going to say this one more time: I am NOT saying that the M3 has LED taillights. I am only saying that to me, they look like LEDs. I cannot make that any clearer. I will NOT accept previous taillights as definitive proof that an entirely new car has incandescent bulbs.

Please, I am NOT at all saying you're wrong, and I am not saying I am right. I am pointing out my observation, and simply giving my opinion. You very well may be right, I very well may be wrong.

I didn't say the 235 had rear led brake lights, but it does have led in the rear red light panel. Daytime rear running lights. I could be wrong, but I don't see that on the F80,82. If it does, I just don't see but. Bottom line all these cars should have full led front and rear by now "2014".

Yes it's present. They all have LED light tubes for the running lights.

Sorry JD, those don't look LED to me. You can see the light focus where the regular bulbs are located. If they were LED, there would be more consistent light throughout rather than a focused bright light typical of bulbs. The only LED I see in that pic is the center brake lights near the roof.
