2018 M3 Comp Values
As life would have it, I am looking to sell my 2018 M3 Comp. I'm not sure what it's worth and thought I would post here and get some ideas. Let me know your opinion.
2018 AW over Sahkir Extended. DCT 9780 miles 20" 666 Wheels in Silver All options except CCB, Full Leather....I think M-perf Carbon mirror caps, spoiler, splitters and lip, CF shifter (All OEM) Clear PPF full front, full hood, fenders, rockers and expanded on "hips" Warranty until 10-31-22. I am the 2nd owner. (It was a later build) Thanks for the input |

40k I think. I will buy it from you there to make it easy
Seriously though I think high 50s for this car. Due to lack of supply and low mileage / options you might even get lucky at low 60s...

I just bought a similar car a month ago for $61k CPO from a BMW dealer. Mine is a one owner 6MT.
Prices a up on these. Proof on what I was willing to pay. Dealers seem to be in the upper $50 to mid $60's. You'll be much lower on trade or CarMax. Closer to low $50's. They may even offend you with a offer in the high $40's. Best luck is private sale and be patient.

Some market areas are really hot currently, I’m not sure About Nebraska especially in winter.
Carmax would give a reference, assume they are looking to make 10% on a private sale.

I got offered $60k by dealer for my 2018 Comp in YAS. I only have about 6,500 miles on it though.
Probably can get a bit more if i was serious about selling. Planning to keep for awhile and maybe lease new M3 to replace our X3 M40i. |

I just purchased a 2018 comp October from a BMW dealer for 61k and it was listed for 65 with 17k miles. Mine is 6MT Mineral on Sakhir with every option other than CCBs, with warranty until 12/22. I wanted it for 58 but the car was a 9/10, and the exact spec I was after. Even the under body is spotless, it gets a 9/10 for a single tiny rock chip.
If you check Autotrader and cars.com clean <25k mileage '18 comps are high 58-67 with ~120 for sale across the USA. The prices now are even higher then when I bought mine. I was expecting values to drop heading into winter, but they are only going up. I have been shopping GT3s as well and they are up a couple points from September. This is quite surprising considering its December and a new model about to be released. I was shopping M5s the same time last year and they dropped heading into November through March. They then flattened out for the summer, and the exceptional cars slightly increased. If you want to cash out of a car this is the time to do so before the market "corrects" after COVID-19. I bought an '18 F80 6MT back in March and got a very good price on it, and it's gone up in value by about $10k.
Now's a great time to be a seller. Also – the tell tale sign of full leather is the dashboard over the instrument cluster AND the leather door tops front and back seats (where the lock pin protrudes)

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if I can get rid of my 2018 for $60k
14,000 miles AW on black. ZCP Exec package, blind spot, CarPlay 6sp 763M black wheels, Cup2 tires MPE CF diffuser, rear spoiler, splitter Front black spoiler. All BMW M perf parts came with the car new except CF rear diffuser. 89.7k MSRP Clean non-modded ones are gonna be in high demand. I think I will keep it until I’m ready for a GT3. Debating if I want to do light tuning (CS coding, M HAS, light engineer tune). |

its an interesting time in the f8x market. i could sell my 2015 loaded 6mt car for what i bought it for 20 months ago judging by the asking prices on autotrader.
I'm hoping the g80 gets trashed on its reviews so f8x prices go up more. i was thinking of selling a few months ago for a tesla or lc500 but if values stay up i dont see a reason too. you can pretty much drive the car for free.

Historically the last Model Year M3s have retained their values very well especially ones that are clean and low mileage. I think Yas Marina and Individual colors will be sought after plus 6MT. The sedan has much lower production #s also vs M4 as it stopped in 2018.

Bought my 18' AW ZCP 11k miles back in Dec. 2019 for $56k with everything you listed as well. KBB/NADA shows mine around 60-63K now even with the slow increase in miles.

Here is a data point - rare 2018 M3 6MT with only 9k miles bought on BAT for $57k plus 5% buyers fee = $59,850 now for sale at Brooklyn Auto for $67k plus dealer fees I'd bet. IMO a nice low mileage car should bring between $55 and $63k on the private market based on spec and condition. Expect to get hosed on a trade in so dealer can mark it up at least $7 to $8k.
