C63S Dyno numbers

http://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-c6...o-results.html

Those don't look bad either, wonder if there's a competition package coming

they underrated the HP figure for sure.

why are those guys referring to drivetrain loss as 7-10%?

Isn't it a bit higher? 15-20%?

Hmm... I actually expected it to be a bit higher then that tbh.

Still good though. Always wondered why they compare the C63S to the M3 instead of the C63. Feels like a bad comparison even though the reviews still go back and forth between the two anyway.

For the most part, it's because people on forums are pretty stupid and will try to relate dyno WHP figures to factory-rated BHP and call the difference "drivetrain loss."

Wait till you show them a dyno of a car making as much or more WHP than the factory BHP rating. It will really leave them scratching their heads. LOL

You can disagree all you want, a civic could put stripes on make it look better. Lets start with rear panels.. they are flat. Tires are tucked in and look horrible. I am not putting the car down for performance, great engine and interior is great (I drove one already) but lets not call it a sports car cause it doesn't look like one however it does perform like one. To each their own but even that pic looks like s#@$. The front looks way too long and rear is too small. People where bitching about the hood lines on the M3/4, this one takes a cake for horrible design.

You know, I love German Shepherds and this car looks like one... strange looking back and a big ass head lol.

Meh... my tires aren't tucked and the panels aren't flat (I know since I hand wash it). Trash away dude. I'm pretty much unaffected.

Good for you, not trying put your car down just telling you as I see it. I drove it, walked around it for 10 minutes and it didn't raise a single hair on my ass saying... oh it looks sexy and I have to have it. V8 sound? eh its cool but that is about it and interior of the car is for when I retire in 20 years and will enjoy the luxury but that's about it. Enjoy the car bro and be safe.

There's one in the garage at work in black. It definitely looks much better in the flesh. It's classy and muscular but just missing the rear fender flare. The only thing shying my away is lack of 6MT...too bad

Would be interested in seeing both the M3 and C63 dyno'd on the same day with graphs overlayed on top. That dropoff in HP so far from redline is disappointing though.

i would like the AMG a lot more if it had real fender flares. like the F80

I really wonder what goes on behind the scenes when they are designing the car.

"ya fender flares are to aggressive"

So because someone has an opposite opinion of you, they are "trashing"?

Sorry, try again.

FWIW, I agree. The car does not look different enough from a stock C with sport trim. Yes, I have seen in person. It's weird and disappointing. Not awful but where is the aggression?

Ha! You know what I mean. I actually think that when the w204 came out it was a such a good looking car that the improvement this w205 has isn't as grand, I guess.

Just clicked on the link and saw he was in Houston. It has been STUPID HOT here the last few weeks. 95 doesn't begin to articulate the blast furnace you walk out to.

So I am sure this car was pulling timing, boost and dumping fuel all day long.
