Trying to better manage OBD Agent updates and installs for those using laptops by creating an actual installer for it which should manage all updates going forward. This way users don't need to worry about Java JDK downloading or worrying about the version of it as it seems inevitable that it'll come up and some end up stuck spinning tires going nowhere (and we don't want to spin tires unless we really want to spin them ).

I'm evaluating a version of an installer tool and put together installers for both Windows and Mac for those that'd like to try it out.

If this works out well the manual agent.zip downloadable will be gone and the installer/app will replace it. It will check for updates in the background and download them automatically like other apps out there do. You can also uninstall the agent like any other app on your windows or mac and have a proper icon for it making management of this easier for those less tech savvy.

Here's a link to the new beta macOS installer:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/yg95gvpy1f...macos.dmg?dl=1

Here's a link to the new beta Windows installer:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/yujs9scblq...ndows.exe?dl=1

It now bundles the appropriate version of Java inside the installer as well and no separate download will be necessary for anyone downloading this fresh to a new laptop mac or windows.

Please let me know if/when you get a chance to try it out if any issues at all.

Purchased last night 3 am on impulse buy, I've never tuned anything. On my Surface 3 I flashed CS tune and had the fuel management light in iDrive. Applied the fix/recode light went away. In love!

Took about 4 minutes for the first flash. Recode took about a minute.

Have burbles, but I thought they would be more pronounced. I don't have much to compare them to as I've only heard EALm4 car and youtube videos. I have awe-switchpath non-res, turned off the ASD. Either way Loving it

CS has the weakest burbles, IMO. GTS is more, and Stage 1 is the most (and now with V5 there are two levels, which I haven't yet tried).

There are 2 levels of burbles in v5? When did the new version come out and do we only see it when we update the agent?

I think he is saying they updated stage 1 and 2 maps and the AGG versions of those which has the gunshot burbles.

Am I right?

Thanks for the tip. My first initial flash was CS and you are indeed right it has the weakest burble. Just revving no load I would get burbles up to around 2,000 and weaker ones around 2.5k.

I just flashed the GTS map and its definitely more burble I noticed I could hear them in efficient-mode, not loud, but paying attention I could hear them. Revvs up to 3.5k produced burbles and they are pronounced. It's just right for me personally.

I got an update to the agent so I wanted to clarify. I've only flashed twice and got the fuel system warning both times. After flashing, the recoding has worked to remove the warning both times. I saw mentioned somewhere you can just do the online recode from the start to get the flash and clear the warning in one go.

Or am I misunderstanding?

I got that fuel system error this morning after flashing and driving a few miles. I ended up plugging my laptop in and pressing online recode only. I did not have to reflash it all if thats what you are asking.
