I'm from Staten Island and I've taken my m3 to open road but I don't drive it much. Drive the 328 daily.

I grew up in bullshead on staten island. I moved upstate but my parents still love down there. I've only gotten one ticket in my m3 and it was in staten island. Some hotbox cop walked all the way down my driveway on my parents property and put a no front plate ticket on my m3

It's the worst borough for a car enthusiast. There's a cop every 2 blocks hiding on hylan blvd.

But they can't ticket you for no front plate in private driveway, if it's on the street parked yes.

Unfortunately most F8X drivers are this way from my experience in the tri state area. 8 out of 10 drivers are some young looking hood rat kid driving it trying to attract as much attention as possible for some reason... This is my first M3 which was a childhood dream car for me but sadly its likely to be my last only because of the negative stigma it has. Sucks because the F80 is the best car I've owned so far...

That's like saying you won't own a gun because people kill others with them and that gives them a bad "rep". Or you wont own a honda because they are frequently riced out or have some kind of reputation around them.
Enjoy what you love regardless of what anyone else thinks.

There are other M cars that i can enjoy that doesn't have this negative stigma. Sure it might not be as fun as the M3 but you gain in other areas. When other people see M3/M4's on the road they automatically think you want to race. I guess most of them do so you automatically get lumped into that category even though I have two kids sitting in the back seat of mine.

These cars are the new civics of the modern age.

How right you are Alan. These cars do have a negative stigma. Even when none car people ask me what type of car I have and say an m4, their automatic response is usually, oh so you must drive like a jackass. My buddy works for highway NYPD and he hates M drivers gives them zero discriation.

That's not good. I have baby car seat in my F83. Don't race at all here.

When I had the E92 and I come across a F8x, 8/10 times they flex trying to race. Now i'm in the f80, other f8x people don't try to race but it's now the sti/stang/evo/focus rs heads that always are up on my ass.

Exactly. There are morons in every make and model out there. Nor does it help there are a few of these "clubs" in the tristate area that promote this sort of reckless driving. Especially the club that boasts 18 year olds hanging out of the window of their accords while recklessly dipping in and out of traffic. Hopefully they don't take anyone else out but themselves.

That's a terrible reason to not drive the car you want.

In case you haven't noticed, all of society is regressing not just M drivers.

People actually make decisions for their own life based on strangers opinions. That's sad.
