I just got an F80 from GT Spirit in White from Modelissimo on Ebay - pretty much the same as the YAS except it has black interior.

I think someone mentioned this but the cars cannot even move right? they are stationary and do not allow for wheel movement? I know the doors dont open at all. kind of disappointing as a whole.

The cars roll. I think the wheels are on common axles, which is a cheap way of mounting them. The front wheels don't turn. The bodies aren't diecast, they're made of resin. But, it's the only way to get a 1:18 M3 sedan and the quality isn't terrible.

That's right. I don't know of anyone else making an F80 in any scale - 1/43, 1/18 or other. So its really the only way to get a model F80 M3 until another producer licenses the car and builds an alternative.

Mint Models offers the Marco Whitman DTM M4 in 1:43 from Minichamps. Not sure when it's out, but I think I want. I wish it was in 1:18 though. Has anyone heard of it coming out in 1:18?

It's usually a good sign that when they come out with one in 1:43 scale, they'll come out with one in 1:18 scale.

I bought the 1:18 AY M4, gloss white enamel paint and a set of fine brushes. Wish me luck, I've never done anything like this before...

Austin Yellow M4 Hot Wheels Car

I was doing some shopping the other day and randomly looked at the hot wheels cars at the store and the first one I saw was a AY M4. I had a AY M3 so it was a must for me to get a couple of them to have. Thought it was pretty cool and they did a pretty good job designing it. If you look closely you can see the carbon fiber roof as well. Here are some pics I snapped with my iPhone. Let me know what you guys think.

Nah I don't own them. I kinda want to get one, but they're not cheap and I know I won't use them much. I do own a couple of R/C cars though... grew up building them.

Anybody know how to change out the wheels without destroying the frame. I'd like to change mine out on a Ferrari model. Still waiting on a black M4 with black interior to buy with black wheels. It'll show up eventually.

SO isnt getting enough love when it comes to the Hotwheels BMW's. Lots of AY and YMB, but not SO as far I can see. Look forward to picking one up if they ever come around. If I have to wait any longer I may look into buying and painting one, although that sounds better in thought than reality.
