First M3 Comp
Hey all
Been reading these forums for a long time since bought my first bmw, an F30, a couple of years ago. Been obsessed with the M3 ever since. So many nights googling, reading, looking at forum posts, pictures...and I finally traded my F30 for a 2018 M3 Competition Pack a couple of weeks ago. I'm blown away by this car. Took it for its first run up Angeles Crest Highway today Nice to meet you all! |

The ride felt great. It's definitely a hell of a lot more stiff than the F30, and noisier, but I don't mind one bit tbh. The car feels SO planted and is so responsive. I've never felt so confident going into twists and turns. I don't drive especially fast on roads like those though, to be honest. How do you all have your cars set? I've been enjoying everything in comfort and the throttle in Sport, sometimes Sport+ |

The F80 is a great car, I like your color too. I'm jealous of all you guy who live in areas with twisty roads. You get to enjoy the car the way it was designed. We have nothing but straight roads in S. Florida.
I have my M1 setting as Sport, Sport, Comfort. My M2 is Sport+, Sport+, Sport. However sometimes I like Eff, Comfort, Comfort when I'm on the highway just cruising along.

Guess I'm getting old. Keep my comp in comfort 95% of time. Switch everything to Sport + for spirited moments and twisty roads. Rarely do I ever use Sport settings. I find the comp ride, with 20s, very compliant in comfort.

Congratulations! The Fire Orange looks great.
I have a competition on 20s and spend most of the time with the transmission in Sport and steering/suspension in Comfort. I'll kick everything up to Sport+ for spirited driving. |
