If you push the throttle to the floor in any mode you will get the full beans until TC kicks in. In situations where I need the best throttle modulation like cold & wet NorCal days under 40f (yes we get those), efficient is great.

FWIW I personally don’t like sport plus on the street - I ran it for a while and found I wasn’t enjoying the car as much as the throttle is so sensitive and you’re basically breathing on it in most street situations. It’s like a constant reminder that the car can do way more than you’re allowed to. I’ve found that sport throttle has adapted to my driving style nicely and is the perfect “sporty” setting for the street/canyons.
I approve of this statement.

“GIVE IT THE BEANS!! FULL BEANS AHEAD!!”

“SEND IT WITH MAX BEAN POWER!!!”

“BMW M-Pow— Bean Power.”

I hear ya. Are there any M4 groups in NJ that share info or get together?

I disagree, the M driving school was absolutely worth it and you can sign up for it anytime. It was what convinced me to buy my M3, I drove it at M school in on absurdly rainy day and was extremely impressed with the performance of the car in such trying conditions. I am thinking of doing the 2 day M school in the future but will decide after getting out for a few track days this spring and summer. Get out and enjoy your new car.

The car can do this, just be careful. Smooth!

I also have the 3-pedal but with the extra two doors. I suggest to avoid Sport+ while learning, because there's no rev-match, so if you mis-shift you won't hear the engine rev high to warn you of an over-rev.

Once you're comfortable with plain jane Efficient get into Sport with MDM, then progress to Sport with DSC Off (no nanny mode, be careful). With DSC Off you can learn the limits of traction and corner sliding technique.

I've pushed to 175 on a few occasions (limiter deleted), and exceed 150 frequently "just to test that Dragy is working"...but safely, of course.

I believe rev match is there now in all modes. Changed sometime in 2018.

I heard that was an error in one software version, and only some cars got lucky. I asked my SA if they could get me that older SW version but they said no. I have up and tuned.

I think you misunderstand.

The OP was commenting that the "M Driver's package" is not worth it. And he is correct. You can get a much better deal on the M schools.

Not that I'm aware of yet. I just picked mine up a couple of weeks ago, it's still on Winter tires.
