New to me M3 finally joins the 911 in the garage

Hi all,
Just wanted to say hi and thanks to the community who helped me in the process and a few pre-owned parts too!

I just picked up the car from Phil @detailers domain and it came out great, did a full PPF, the paint wasn’t perfect but overall I think it will keep the car well preserved for a while.

First impressions, it’s definitely quieter than I was expecting which works for me, it’s pretty quick and you don’t feel speed as I was expecting, I haven’t even attempted to open her up but I can tell she wants to go.

I think it’s the perfect pair of a 997c4s and m3 CS

A few pics (would post a few more but have no idea how to rotate them)

It's frozen gold I believe. Looks good with the CCBs. Fun car. Had it tuned by Vast Motorsports, running catless downpipes and AWE exhaust. Pretty fast and I love the feel of BMW M cars. And the AWE track exhaust is stupid loud.

Man I was soooo close to buying a C4S before snagging my M3 Comp. Looked at numerous cars, and almost dove on a 2009 black C4S but it had 59K miles and just felt a little "unbuttoned" after a quick drive. Was beautiful, and love the power and handling delivery but the 2017 M3 just feels snappier and tighter in all the right spots. I'm hoping to eventually grab a 997 TT down the road if prices relax though.

Rock on

Sorry,

Get Irfanview. You car rotate a photo in either direction in 90 degree increments, and it's free. Just go to irfanview.com or CNET downloads. I've been using it for years.

WUT

"The Porsche 911 GT3 is a high-performance homologation model of the Porsche 911 sports car. It is a line of high-performance models, which began with the 1973 911 Carrera RS"

Certainly IS a big difference, vs. stock, but that beast is definitely a 911

35lbs is great, anything below that on the front seems to make the front-end feedback more vague and less direct to me.

FWIW, it seems to wear the tire relatively evenly too.

I love the tow hook on the M3. Which one did you get? Is it easy to DIY? Any concerns? Thanks
