Reading this thread makes me tempted to try out the equal lengths, currently have the VRSF single mid!

man im getting so many compliments about the exhaust lately. would always get thumbs up and stuff but now way more people commenting on how the exhaust sounds ridiculous. efficient mode (i cant tune out the burbles) + valves open = music to my ears. sounds like a GTR down low but screams almost like a GT3 up top to be honest.

Heck yeah - it’s hard to explain but that top end scream really adds another dimension to the car and gives you another way to enjoy the car on the street/public roads

My main issue is that in order to get the right sounds I am asking for the cuffs

I found myself running long 2nd gears just to get that note more than often. It's addicting.

Isn’t that exactly what a great sounding car is supposed to make you do?

In all seriousness tho, I think generally, 6 cylinder engines sound best when they’re revved out - I haven’t really heard any that I thought sound great at partial revs (unlike a V8 for instance). That being said, the UEL design does introduce some low end grumble which definitely beefs up the lower revs at the expense of the top end. Gonna keep beating the dead horse but it just comes down to personal preference, everyone should go with what the like!

Yeah I’ve mastered the half throttle rev out in 2nd gear. Can’t really redline 3rd unless it’s a wide open highway. Nothing has come close yet to redlining 2-3-4 coming out of turn 15 onto the front straight at Thunderhill (East) - that was out of this world

I have similar set up except with res, but now I want to go for non-res just (my current setup still sounds great ) because I want my car to sound like a GT-R and GT3 too

I'd have to say the only thing that topped that was me doing that on my Panigale at that same final turn.

Got mine on yesterday. Resonated version with stock (non-zcp) muffler and catless downpipes.

Sounds amazing. Having it heat cycle a few times before going in and adjusting (a slight rattle sometimes, and my exhaust tips are a bit uneven).

I may swap out the resonators for some vibrant 1792's.

This is how my non-res EL midpipe arrived after nearly 5 months of waiting. I contacted AA and they offered to RMA the midpipe and wait for the next batch, or pay for a shop to finish the weld. As many of you know, the wait is near unbearable and the shipping box is too thick to easily return, so I opted for the later.

I'm still appalled and upset by the lack of quality control for the cost. I understand the repair is quick and this is an isolated issue, but I did not pay or wait for a midpipe missing a critical weld :/

Damn, this really is kind of ridiculous for the price. Like I'd wait a little longer for them to actually take their time and provide a quality product. I just got mine delivered Monday, I should open it up and check out the welds…

Ouch that sucks. That was definitely done on a Monday or a Friday.

It's like they stopped welding and ran out of metal or took a smoke break and forgot....honestly, terrible, but easily 'finish' able.

Wow, I thought my porous welds with lack of penetration were bad - I had lots of little pinhole leaks when the car was running! Sounds like they're cranking these out as fast as humanly possible and are not QC'ing them on their way out. Hope you can get it fixed easily.

Yeah, I think the burbles are just too much with this setup. I am currently looking at valve controllers so that i can run the car in efficient mode with the valves open. Is anyone else doing the same?

I used the Mosselman Turbo controller for a while on my M2C. Works really well, but I find with my current setup (AA non res mid and axleback) I'm not using it any more. DM me if you would like to try it out.

Yikes, I did not know your issue was a thing... how long have you had the midpipe installed and when did you start having the pinhole leak issues? After missing such a simple and obvious weld, plus hearing your issues, I can't help but call in question the integrity of the other welds and if they'll remain intact over time. I'd expect such issues from a cheaply made eBay exhaust, but hey, maybe that's all this midpipe really is and we're all getting hosed lol
These are made in the USA. I think I read that they were pumping these out on the weekend to get them shipped out. I have had these installed for 2 weeks and I think we got our pipes on the same set of builds. These are not structural welds - at least in the sense that they're holding something up - so I doubt I'd have these welds fail, but they leak, which is annoying. They leaked from when I installed them and they won't get any worse unless they break at the weld.
