Bootmod3 CustomROM Map Switching Issue.
Hi All,
So.... If I flash the Stage 1 CustomROM multi map in my M4 Comp I can switch maps up and down no problem from my steering wheel cruise control... However, if I flash in a CustomROM based on the M4 CS Map I can only switch the maps downwards, ie 4 to 3, 3 to 2, 2 to 1 from the steering wheel but can freely switch to any map when connected via the laptop. Anyone else had this issue and know the fix? Cheers. |

If you've tried reflashing with different maps and only 1 has a problem please email PTF Support…you may have found a bug in the MultiMap code.
Our usual try-this-first steps are: - Check codes first, always. Some don't throw a CEL. - Reflash the problem map and try. - Reset Adaptations and try. - Flash a different map and try, then flash back to problem map and try. - Flash to a good map and email PTF if nothing above worked.

Thanks Jimmy.
Done pretty much all of that, but you've given me one or two new things to try. The car drives fine with the map and switching works via the laptop so I think it's fine to drive as is. I think it most probably an issue in the CustomROM creation, probably Big Sur related.... I have a Mohave version under parallels I might create a map under that to flash and see if it works. Thanks, Steve. Quote:

All sorted, support was awesome and sorted it for me super quick...
It was user error. I missed a setting, well more I assumed it was a binary on-off setting and not a literal one... You all know what they say when you ASS-U-ME..... |
