Wow.

Just saw someone shared a video of a police car possibly going over 100. But it was on the opposite side of the road. Yes, going the wrong way with oncoming cars. My guess is it was trying to catch up and get ahead of them on the other side of the highway.

At least one of the drivers turned over gopro footage to the cops... I can guarantee there is a lot more video footage since they were doing a shoot. I'm sure the cops will be knocking on their doors soon.
lol I'm glad they got away? You aren't brothers or friends when two ditches the rest of the convoy AND got the innocent ones arrested + seized.

Got away? wtf bmrwrld are you high? None of us should ever fucking condone this behavior. This shit makes all of us look bad.

Not that I know of. It is being shared on the F8x marketplace group on Facebook but it is a closed group unless you are a member. Another friend shared it on his page. But I'm not sure I can link it. Here are some screenshots.

Here's the video.

What this officer is doing is as dangerous as street racing if not more. I really hope he doesn't get away with this.

Note to self: never racing on public highways. Sucks but they took the risk and got caught now it's on them to pay the price.

Will they auction off the mods? lol

This was a day after the event, albeit involving a few of the attendees. The event itself was very well run and free of any incidents or reckless behavior.

+1

At this point, public safety and justice have gone out the window. They're now just chasing them for spite.

That is a very bad decision on that officer's part.

No lights and siren is another WTF, unless I missed it because of the video quality.

I see the video with my own eyes but somehow don't believe it. How did he avoid an accident? Seems inevitable someone would turn right into him in shock and not knowing what to do / reacting to move.

Insanity and definitely really, really bad decision making. Even if he could catch up to whoever he is chasing, how could he cut over to the right side of the road? Is that a trooper or a local?

Edit: I guess we should all be happy we weren't changing our tire on the side of the road that day. He must be in the breakdown lane.

Same here, I've watched it three times and I still can't believe what I am watching.

Edit: It would be interesting to know if that was authorized by his/her superior or if they made that decision on their own. I can't imagine their superiors would've ok'd that, but I guess you never know.

I watched it a few times, and it looks like he's driving on the shoulder. If you look towards the end, you can see both a semi and car in lanes 1 and 2.

Still bad though.. All I takes is someone not paying attention or target fixate on the on cop car.

Agreed. Early on in the video also looks like people in both lanes when you see a white truck.

Exactly my thoughts! Even if we assume he knows what he?s doing (i.e. profesionally trained etc), it only takes a fraction of a second for some random driver to panic and swerve into him. Or as you said, what if someone was changing their tires etc... This chase could have ended horribly.

Not only that but how many times you see random garbage on side of the road, hitting anything at that speed would result in a not so good ending.

While many are saying keep the racing or spirited driving to the track, who here hasn't driven in such a manner that others would condemn you to being unworldly and stupid for exceeding speed or driving in a pack after leaving a driving event? Yet, you found yourself to be well in control of your car, because of your abilities and the car's capabilities, yet you did not jeopardize others?

After driving in Germany my eyes were opened and I found the streets here are clogged with an overabundance of incompetent drivers. (Watch a five corner intersection in Germany, if you can, it is humanity in motion with precision.) Our transportation infrastructure in the States is far too inadequate for us to effectively get those drivers off of the streets. We could drive with a heightened level of capability, while it may be increased risk, we won't get ourselves into legal woes. There seems to be some level of success of un-restricted zones on the various Autobahn's. (well some hum-dinger accidents too, but worth the risk)

Oh yeah, and more driver training that is meaningful and technical. Not today's "has a heart beat" qualifier to drive.
Very well put.

I believe in germany to get a license its a $3,000 endeavor with endless training, etc. As much as i would hate to have to go through that myself, i think in the USA it is currently warranted. We have what i like to call "traffic for no reason. Traffic that starts without an accident or catalyst.

I hope we can figure out a way to sort these things out, there are just far too many incompetent drivers around
I've been saying for years that 85% of US drivers shouldn't have licenses. This will never change as it's part of our culture just as being a competent well trained driver is part of German culture. Americans have been "giving" licenses to anybody and everybody since the automobile was invented. license's = more car/gasoline sales. It's pretty simple. It's very hard for America to change and it happens sooooo slow. Christ, speed limits are still 55mph in a lot of places. I've gone faster on my downhill skis (65 mph). Seems ridiculous.

It's so hard coming back to the US after driving in Europe/Germany. I get frustrated everyday with the idiots on the road here in the US.

Our cars are also badass. Most of the other people are driving shitbox Prius's and Camry's. This is something that the wifey has to remind me of from time to time.

Wonder if some of them are members on here. Gotta believe there's at least one, not that they should post up to explain, bc that would be dumb. But yeah, incredibly irresponsible and gives ///M owners a bad name, not that we didn't have one already, lol. If you're one of them, hope you get your car back and learn your lesson. If you don't and/or didn't, I hope NC does a part out auction, cuz I saw some things I need : #savageAF

this thread makes me laugh

So no one here does pulls with your friends and has fun??

I usually save it for the track but its nice to stretch the car on the highway and have fun with friends.

BTW, 100mph is not fast for this chasis. It doesnt get scary until after 160.

100 in an M4 feels equivalent to 50mph in my prius
