Apple music autoplay

Anyone figured out how to have spotify as the autoplay option rather than apple music?

You can create an automation via the shortcuts app. I have when set to open Spotify anytime CarPlay connects.

thx man, what exactly is the shortcut app? Something to dl or is it somethin on iDrive that I'm not seeing.

It's an app on your phone. Just search for the shortcuts app, should be on there by default.

Then from there, you have to create an action to open Spotify when CarPlay starts.

Launch the app, then on the bottom go to Automation. Hit the + up top to create a new one. Select Create Personal Automation, then select CarPlay. Hit Next, then Add Action. Select Scripting, then Open App. Hit Choose next to Open, scroll down and select Spotify, then hit Next, then Done. Should be good to go then.
